CountryBoys's Account Talk

Yes, he would...
but isn't/wasn't he also in trouble for taxes. Never could figure why they ever re-elected him.

Trouble? Trouble with stinkin' taxes... well he'd feel right at home then. Those people don't believe in paying taxes. ;)

CBO: Obama stimulus harmful over long haul

President Obama's economic recovery package will actually hurt the economy more in the long run than if he were to do nothing, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said Wednesday.

CBO, the official scorekeepers for legislation, said the House and Senate bills will help in the short term but result in so much government debt that within a few years they would crowd out private investment, actually leading to a lower Gross Domestic Product over the next 10 years than if the government had done nothing.

White House Nabs Political Control over Census for 2012 Redistricting

The Obama administration is ending the Census Bureau's traditional autonomy – a move that has Republicans outraged over the White House's politicization of counting Americans.

Last week, an administration official revealed that the yet-to-be-named director of the Census Bureau will report to the White House rather than Commerce Secretary nominee Judd Gregg, a Republican.

Boy, this sure fails the smell test. My Bro-in-Law in IL, just laughed and said the US is going to get a big taste of thuggish underhanded, dealmaking IL politics style. He said this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Pelosi dismisses bipartisanship calls

In a statement sure to rile Republicans, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Friday dismissed calls for bipartisanship as “process” arguments extraneous to passing a stimulus bill — and warned Senate Democrats against slashing proposed increases to education spending.

Pelosi — speaking to reporters on the second day of her retreat with House Democrats at a swank Williamsburg, Va., golf resort — was clearly annoyed with Senate attempts to slash up to $100 billion in spending from the $819 billion package the House passed last week.

So much for the cooperation the wicked witch of the west spoke so highly of in 2006. BHO wants as many Conservative fingerprints on this CF of a welfare Package, so he can place the blame it on everyone when it fails to produce or save the 3 million jobs and the fallout that will occur from his socialist school experiment.

For those not in the know, The CBO is the agency responsible for reporting economic data to Congress as well as commenting on budget proposals, but their conclusions on the Welfare stimuls package and the impact or lack of impact of and will actually hinder output in years to come, and virtually no major media outlets reported it. No media bias their huh.

Shouldn't the American people be informed about this? What are they hiding? We may not find out, but our kids and grandkids will certainly find out.:( We are being hoodwinked by BHO by the big rush to get this passed before the public wakes up, at least those that care, and begin to complain to their worthless representatives. By 2010, 51% of the american working public will not have to pay an income tax if BHO gt's everything he wants passed. It's 40% now. That 51% will conrtol the voting.

Daschle says health-care reform “will not be pain free.” Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them. That means the elderly will bear the brunt.
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601039&refer=columnist_mccaughey&sid=aLzfDxfbwhzs#

No, that means that the elderly will die from lack of care, becasue the cosr/benefit ratio will be below 1.0. This is currently happening in the UK now under their socialized medocal program.

The morals of a country are measured by how they take care of the helpless, babies and the elderly and we are going to be morally banckrupt before this is over. :(

True CB,

However, If we could separate the lazy from the helpless, babies and the elderly does that improve our morals or just improve our chances of not going bankrupt.

I have to agree with Budnipper, both. Helplessness doesn't discriminate when it comes to age. I've always been taught from my long ago Boy Scout days, that those that aren't able to take care of themselves, then we have a moral duty to help them. The lazy, I don't give a second thought and I wouldn't spend a dime on them. The lazy are the ones that are a financial drain on any society or group.

My friend, it is good to see other people were raised with morals and feel an obligation to do the right thing. :o Too bad the rest of the world is gimme, gimme with no sense of shame for what they feel entitled to. It really is a shame, I'm not a socialist but I am being forced into a socialist system involuntarily. JMHO JB45

CB,
There is nothing that compares to seeing your daughter take off after college and show her worth.

The dread of missing her is far less than the pride you have in her showing her strength and abilities - and seeing first hand how beautifully she turned out - how well she is received and how her smarts and character and ambition make her stand out.

So... let the inner peace of knowing... she has to leave the nest to find herself and be all she's meant to become... dominate your thoughts.

Have a good day my friend,

Steady

Yeah JB45,

I'm afraid we'll be drug kicking and screaming down this trail of entitlement and I don't see any end to it unless it's something drastic, which no one wants. We've tried to raise our daughter the correct way and luckily it worked out. :D

Take Care friend,

Yeah Steady,

I've been telling myself that for the past 6 months so as to try and prepare myself for the moment she goes out on her own. As JB45 said, we've raised her with good morals and the obligation to help those that can't, now it's her turn to go out.

But old Dad sure ain't ready for it yet. :o

If the reduced lunch at risk bunch try to emulate the BHO family structure that would be the best approach for the country. When my daughter was younger she thought all at risk families were like the Huxtables from television.
