Playing the I fund

Of the top 5 people in the TSP Tally, 4 are in the I fund for today. Then there's me sitting in the G. Something tells me I am going to get left behind again today.

My very best wishes to all! In a very real sense, I was lucky to have taken a calculated risk before the FED's decision. I don't want to contemplate the extent of the loss that I would have experienced if the I fund had plummeted. I know it can still happen if a correction occurs soon. You more experienced guys/gals, when do you believe that FV or some sort of rebalancing will be carried out by Barclays Global? Thanks in advance!

I think we are even now.

was considering moving to the g-fund today but EAFE seems to have some gas left in the tank on the charts, check $iee on stockcharts with fast stoch/bollinger bands and parabolic SAR -- all still bulish even though it feels awfully overbought. If people can provide better charts and indicators to swing trade the EAFE, please share!!!!!!

Probably hold out and then IFTto G fund on Friday for Monday's penny.

Though the bond market is on fire. How much higher can it go? That's the real question.

Jeff

ever since the Fed paused rates the F-fund has not retraced below its 20-day MA. I can't think of anything to make it go below that except another Fed rate hike... hopefully somebody w/ more knowledge can enlighten me on factors that will make the f-fund break the pattern?

MSCI EAFE = +.667% or +.13 cents

Don't know about the FV though with the big dollar drop and all. :D

I'm betting no FV. Yes the dollar dropped after noon which should boost I-fund to FV. However, US markets dropped hard and futures dropped as well. This makes the cost of OSM in the morning less clear. I therefore think the dollar drop and the market drop will cancel each other out in the minds of the Barclay guessers. JMHO.

I only have two rules for the F fund...

1. When rates are rising, stay away.
2. When rates are falling, climb aboard.

I do not have enough experience to judge the F fund when rates are steady. I could also you some expert thoughts on the F fund.
