So many times has Japan opened one way, only to finish the complete opposite. I don't have a good feeling about this time, but I am hopeful.

Japan and the Eurozone are all down:
FTSE 100 -57.20 -0.97%
XETRA-DAX -62.29 -1.04%
CAC 40 -54.85 -1.05%
HANG SENG -19.32 -0.11%
NIKKEI 225 -199.56 -1.26%

US Futures are down......

Time to go to the charts and evaluate those stops.

Japan down 199.56 (1.26%) to 15634.67 with-in the channel 15200 support 15700 resistance Australia down 11.00 (0.22%) to 4948.40 with-in channel 4800 support 5100 resistance FTSE broke support 5850 resistance 5950 The philly-fed caused a lot of back-peddlin. The dollar has lost a lot of ground that is the only thing going for the I fund today. Might be a good time to jump in for Monday. iffy Mayday

Today I ready to do an IFT (an additional 50%) to G, for safety, unless there are very convincing reasons to stay invested in equities. Can anyone shed light on whether the decline of the USD from yesterday to the present will offset the losses in the global indices? I am still trying to figure out what Barclays usually does with FV in a declining dollar mode and with all indices going lower.

If the USD declined more after the market closed and continues to decline today it will take some of the edge off of our loses. I am going to move a majority of my fund to the G now and hope that I am wrong.

Going to Ukraine again, so will be largely out of the loop for a couple of weeks. Special thanks to Grandma for your support and encouragement for this mission. May you prosper, even as does your soul. (Live long and prosper)

So, will park in G fund while gone... That means the rest of you should be able to make a bundle in stox! :D :D :D :D

Great! Thanks Sky! I was most likely going back to 100% S today anyway.

You be careful out there ya hear!

Taking the drop in the dollar yesterday afternoon (which did not trigger an FV as I said it probably would not) into consideration, I see the I-fund as down about 0.3% at this time (9:30 am). The S&P futures are only pointed down 0.2% at this point and we all know how fast that can turn around. I'm expecting a drop in C&S. As long as it doesn't fall through the floor, I'm sticking to my game plan. Overseas Market is due a rise and dollar a drop.

I am sure that we all hope that you have a great trip! Stay safe, come back soon, and don't forget to take your phazer...!!! --

was considering moving to the g-fund today but EAFE seems to have some gas left in the tank on the charts, check $iee on stockcharts with fast stoch/bollinger bands and parabolic SAR -- all still bulish even though it feels awfully overbought. If people can provide better charts and indicators to swing trade the EAFE, please share!!!!!!

Probably hold out and then IFTto G fund on Friday for Monday's penny.
I prefer the FULL Stochastics personally....not as choppy as the FAST.
the TRIX seems to give overall trend indications, and I watch the CCI for oversold conditions.
EAFE been using the 50 SMA as support of late.

Let's hope the Euro follows the first set of matches from the Ryder Cup and thrashes the US. We need to be on the right side of a hefty FV today. I'm feeling a little fear staying in I but don't want the whipsaw thwackin' me on me arse.

I'm still okay with the I Fund. I just wish I was around yesterday to jump out only to get back in today - yeah right, like I'd be that lucky! :)
