Malyla's Account Talk

I was stuck in a long meeting but I made an interfund transfer before noon today going 100% G. I guess I was a little greedy when I transfered to S for today. My account is paying for that vice.

I have no idea how long I'll be here on the lilypad. Do not want to be burned again (like today)

it is bound to happen playing, there are always those days to get burned hang in there itll come back before long  it boring setting on lilly to long sometimes you take a chance of course i jumped off the lilly and was burned pretty good this week :embarrest: but we have plenty of time to make up for it G L MALYLA  keep your cool;)

Well... ~2% gone just like that. Easy come, easy go.

Back in the S fund. :worried:

Still reeling from that shark attack but, as they say, you must get back out into the water to make any progress. Trying to get to that big green island where retirement means being able to afford all that I want, such as travel and fine food, etc... Now if the market will cooperate:D

The Fantastic 4 comes out tonight ... well at midnight if your crazy enought to stay up past your bed time.

My comicbook crazy sister said that the Silver Surfer is supposed to be like Jesus. Do you think that's true  ... I don't know much about the Silver Surfer.

Did you get your ComicCon news letter yet? Time to start reserving your hotels if your going.

You might want to consider taking a ferry over to the green island instead of trying to swim in these shark infested waters. But I'm sure you've already thought of that! :D

The problem is knowing which ferry to take. I may decide to jump on Ebb's ferry when I get tired of trying to swim to that d@$% beautiful island on my own. I'm young and have time (assumming I really have the TIME to make it to retirement), so I keep swimming until a luxury ferry shows up.:cheesy:

I will see it next week. I'm in class this week.

Possible spoilers:

I do not know about the Silver Surfer/Jesus connection, but it is so cool that Galactus needs a herald to scope out HIS 'resturants'. The story of the silver surfer is really cool (how did he become the servant of a planet eating Galactus, who is he, how long has he been doing this,...). I hope the FF movie can do justice to this story line. It took up about a year time in comic book history to build the story of the SS. The way Reed solved the problem of Galactus in the comic book was a bit of a copout (Had to do with the Watcher and a nulifier). I'm hoping they come up with a better solution.:D

Back from class. I was unable to post my transfer to the G fund cob 6/15 until today. I think I'll be resting on the lilypad for a few days.

Going to see FF this Weds:D The reviews look good.

After a brief swim in C and S waters, I'm hopping into the frog pond. This is based on TPS traders 'build up and release' (possibly neg) of about 1% and that Ebbnflow is out for the rest of the week. Tom seems to think that the F fund is done 'boiling us frogs' and will pay out for awhile.

GL:D

I'm jumping out of the I fund (although, swimming in international waters has been good) today and heading for a rest on the lily pad with a little testing of the frog pond (even after getting boiled the last time I was in the F pond).

After a brief swim in the Sargassian Sea, I'm heading to the lily pad. I will leave a little in the I fund as a learning experience exercise (feels like gambling:)). 70% G, 30% I.

Thanks to everyone who posted info over the last week. Somehow, after reading them, I made the right decision to get out before Tuesday's drop. This good timing almost made up for getting whipsawed over the last two weeks where every move I made was the exact opposite of what I should have done to make money. Thanks everyone and thanks to Tom for making it possible.

Good Luck

Moved into the C fund for a day. These waters have been warm for the most part. Just a quick dip:D

Loved the Harry Potter movie. Very dark. Anyone staying up past midnight to get the book this weekend?:cheesy:

Caught the movie in IMAX this weekend. Incredible presentation! The final 3d elements were really well done I thought. I thought that the movie was the best one so far, but thats without reading any of the books. My wife told me about 34565242425324 different things during the movie that were different though.

(Shes getting the book through Amazon. Guaranteed on release day--albeit not midnight--plus a free $5 to boot.)

Following my plan, even though I hate to be out of stocks and 12% is going international.

50% G, 50% F.

I will try the frog pond again based on Ebb's recommendation - just hope I can avoid a boiling.:(

I really should see HP on IMAX. That wand fight at the end was weak on the regular screen (why the smoke effects with the wizards flying???? It seems like CGI laziness):notrust:

GL everyone.

Also, Sirius Black didn't look as cool this time when his face appeared in the embers (blame the new director). :(

Oh, I agree. I remember sitting in the theater and feeling really let down by that scene. The last time that happened was in Star Wars II when Anikan said the line right after I said it to my friends "I killed them all". too predictable.

spoiler alert
There were a few things that were immediate disappointments with HP, the fire scene, the last wand fighting scene at the Vailed Archway, and the woods with the Centaurs. The foremost disconnect was the lack of character developement. Maybe I shouldn't have read the book first:worried: (Was the motorcycle broom for Madeye in the book????)

I did like the character Dolores Umbridge and Luna Lovegood. Umbridge was so malevalently and brilliently played and Luna was played perfectly. Major koodoos for the Giant as well. Nice CGI.

I hope the director for #6 will fix a few of the omissions.

Looks like your plan was wise!!!

Thanks GG.

I'm just following Tom's advise to have a plan and stick to it. The emotions of yesterday (14000, 12%, yadda, yadda) almost made me change my mind. It was tough going for awhile;)

I'm thinking of second guessing my plan again today. My plan is to stay safe until Aug 17, but there may be a bounce tomorrow. What to do, what to do (hand wringing commences):D

I'm on a good run the past few months and just like last year when I had my good run, it's because I'm not playing the contrarian. For me that means, if the market looks toppy - get out, and if it looks like its heading to support - get in. It's when I get too uptight that I start making bad decisions. The market will fake you out from time to time, don't let that be an excuse to change what works.
