Malyla's Account Talk

Oh my G-D! I'm LMAO! I know that churning feeling....

I hope the markets run up tomorrow. After following my tsp for a few months, I have lost all urges to gamble in other outside activities.

Well, maybe a lottery ticket or two are the exception - Would be nice not to worry about retirement finances:nuts:

Malyla, hang in there. We all go through ups and downs. Remember, it is part of doing business. DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!:)

Sorry we let it go on as long as we did.

There are so many reasons in a day to be surly and cross. I would prefer to have a laugh and be positive about the day and the future when I come to this forum. Most people take this opportunity to have fun and kid each other, all in the spirit of good fun and common goals. That is how I will conduct myself as I love a sense of humor even when things are looking bleak (dark humor works too). But outright spiteful (mean) comments that are always unprovoked really turns me off (Turn off #1 - mean people, Turn off #2 - nose hair).

Anyway, it's been a long day watching the market whipsaw (I have mental whiplash), but it looks like it turned out OK.

So, I wish I could join Wht00ss at the bar to celebrate this days returns (San Diego is great), but I'll have to settle for a cold one in a smoky bar in Virginia.

Thanks Tom. Love this site and I plan to be around for as long as it is fun.

great avatar...very nice!!!!;)

Thanks 12%. She reminds me to try to be the best of the best:D

Keep up the good work. I don't know how you do it, but your guesses(?)/predictions about how the market will play out during the day are right on. It's been fun reading your posts.

Any chance that the market will be up tomorrow. I didn't go to the lilly pad like you did. That causes me some worry:(:D

Malyla,

Love the avatar, too ... I just decided that this is going to be "Super Hero Avatar Week ...

Sharper Image - Made me laugh. Thanx.

But, isn't your avatar Rogue? ;) I can forgive, but never forget:D

(Yes, I'm a comicbook geek - there's a ee in every geek -)

Thanks Dodge Em. Love your Avatar:D

turnoff #1 and #2 gives you Montgomory Burns - Eeyyuu <hee, hee>

I went to the G FUND based on what I have written earlier.

I created your "malyla's Account" so you can post your fund allocations and InterFund Transactions (IFTs).

Prior to June 1, 2003 fund returns were calculated monthly for each fund (G, F, C). They appeared as a separate monthly entry for each fund in your statement that you received every four months. The return for each fund was multiplied by the total dollars you held in each fund. If a gain, the dollars were added, and if loss dollars were subtracted from the prior months balance. The return for each fund was published monthly. They can be found here: G, F, C, S, and I Fund Rates of Return. Look for the Monthy Returns by year links near the top.

Can anyone show me a link on how the returns were calculated before the June 2003 institution of share prices?

Thanks EWGuy.

Am I right in assuming that the G,F,C monthly returns were based on the same securities, funds, index that they are now (since June 2003)?

You got that right ... Rogue ... I've alwayed loved her ... back from the Saturday Cartoons days. I was a FOX KID. :toung: (some times I still am, when there's nothing else on TV)

And yes ... Comic book geeks ... My sis is one and goes to the San Diego ComicCon every year. She has a room dedicated to get Comicbook boxes and action figures ... She loves Isis and Aphrodite IX.
