Graduating students defy ACLU
Seniors stand and recite Lord's Prayer

Maybe there is some hope for future generations, at least they had the courage to stand up to the ACLU, which will definately put them on the doghouse (PG version) list that Homeland Security is keeping, for daring to defy the exulted ACLU. That makes them Right Wing Extremists.

Hopefully there freedom of speech won't get trampled in the next few years, by that special group of people and his supporters. ;)

Probably not. It's one of those "I disagree with what you say but defend to the death your right to say it" things. I don't see a "Patriot Act" type of perversion happening on this watch. :)

T-G-I-F vs. S-H-I-T

A business man got on an elevator. When he entered,
there was a BLONDE already inside who greeted him

with a bright smiling, 'T-G-I-F.'

He smiled at her and replied, 'S-H-I-T.'

She looked puzzled and repeated, 'T-G-I-F,'
more slowly.

He again answered, 'S-H-I-T.'

The BLONDE was trying to keep it friendly, so she
smiled her biggest smile, and said as sweetly

as possibly, 'T-G-I-F.'

The man smiled back to her and once again, 'S-H-I-T.'

The exasperated BLONDE finally decided to explain.

'T-G-I-F' means 'Thank Goodness It's Friday.' Get it,

duuhhh?'

The man answered, ''S-H-I-T' means 'Sorry, Honey,

It's Thursday -- duuhhh!'

Canada's ObamaCare Precedent
Governments always ration care by making you wait. That can be deadly.

My views changed in medical school. Yes, everyone in Canada is covered by a "single payer" -- the government. But Canadians wait for practically any procedure or diagnostic test or specialist consultation in the public system.

The problems were brought home when a relative had difficulty walking. He was in chronic pain. His doctor suggested a referral to a neurologist; an MRI would need to be done, then possibly a referral to another specialist. The wait would have stretched to roughly a year. If surgery was needed, the wait would be months more. Not wanting to stay confined to his house, he had the surgery done in the U.S., at the Mayo Clinic, and paid for it himself.

Such stories are common. For example, Sylvia de Vries, an Ontario woman, had a 40-pound fluid-filled tumor removed from her abdomen by an American surgeon in 2006. Her Michigan doctor estimated that she was within weeks of dying, but she was still on a wait list for a Canadian specialist.

Overall, according to a study published in Lancet Oncology last year, five-year cancer survival rates are higher in the U.S. than those in Canada. Based on data from the Joint Canada/U.S. Survey of Health (done by Statistics Canada and the U.S. National Center for Health Statistics), Americans have greater access to preventive screening tests and have higher treatment rates for chronic illnesses. No wonder: To limit the growth in health spending, governments restrict the supply of health care by rationing it through waiting. The same survey data show, as June and Paul O'Neill note in a paper published in 2007 in the Forum for Health Economics & Policy, that the poor under socialized medicine seem to be less healthy relative to the nonpoor than their American counterparts.

Ironically, as the U.S. is on the verge of rushing toward government health care, Canada is reforming its system in the opposite direction. In 2005, Canada's supreme court struck down key laws in Quebec that established a government monopoly of health services. Claude Castonguay, who headed the Quebec government commission that recommended the creation of its public health-care system in the 1960s, also has second thoughts. Last year, after completing another review, he declared the system in "crisis" and suggested a massive expansion of private services -- even advocating that public hospitals rent facilities to physicians in off-hours.

CB,

Unfortunately people on both sides of the aisle often do not let the facts get in the way of their agenda!

It doesn't matter that people will die waiting for a certain test or treatment, it only matters that they are dependent on the government for their medical care! Don't you see, if more people die waiting for care, then there will be less need for healthcare treatments and less tax money being spent on treating patients. Since the money allocated for healthcare wasn't spent, Congress will take that money and allocate it to their campaign contributors! It's ingenius really!

What I worry about, is the talk about limiting your care depending upon your lifestyle choices. If you've ever smoked, you won't be covered for smoking related illness. If you drink alcohol, no coverage for liver transplants. If you eat twinkies...you're probably so full of preservatives you'll live forever!:D If you become obese, no coverage for any illness attributed to obesity. The only thing covered MIGHT be illnesses linked to genetics.

Plus Viva,

And as more people die from waiting, especially the old folks, the pols can take care of the Social Security shortfall. ;)

People are starting to speak up!

This is all true according to www.snopes.com Pritchett, a retired VP for Proctor and Gamble, wrote this letter initially to the NYTimes who refused to publish it. He finally just published it on the internet. When MSNBC became aware of it, they tried to label it an example of "hate mail" which they say is unfairly targeting BO. In fact, it is just one very prominent person's viewpoint, which happens to be critical of this administration. The extent to which the media will go to silence opposition is alarming.

Lou Pritchett
Foremost Leader in Change Management

Lou Pritchett is one of corporate America 's true living legends- an acclaimed author, dynamic teacher and one of the world's highest rated speakers. Successful corporate executives everywhere recognize him as the foremost leader in change management. Lou changed the way America does business by creating an audacious concept that came to be known as "partnering." Pritchett rose from soap salesman to Vice-President, Sales and Customer Development for Procter and Gamble and over the course of 36 years, made corporate history.

AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA

Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.

You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others.

You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America ' crowd and deliver this message abroad.

You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.

You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.

You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.

You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.

You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations.

You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.

You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.

You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.

You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.

You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaugh's, Hannitys, O'Reilly's and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.

You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.

Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

Lou Pritchett

Folks can't say this guy is some crackpot, (Pritchett rose from soap salesman to Vice-President, Sales and Customer Development for Procter and Gamble and over the course of 36 years, made corporate history) so he has has a little bit of job experience, more than our community activist pres and it was blessed by snopes, so it must be accurate. And it doesn't suprise me that the NY Times wouldn't publish, since they are the paper of choice for the terrorist of the world.

And the CEO of Coke was just interviewed on CNBC and he spoke out very strongly against the taxing of US Corporations and the money they make overseas. He says that will just cause more jobs to be lost every where, since a lot of US jobs are tied directly to the overseas pary of Coke and most any company doing work overseas.

So maybe some hope yet.:)

From the Government Run Associated Press

Today the AP is saying exactly what we and others who understand economics and economic history have told you since before the election. Big bailouts and government spending and regulation fervor doesn’t work, it slows economic growth and it undermines investor confidence. Unfortunately only about 20% of economists truly understand economics as it takes the ability to spot and recognize patterns in what appears to be chaos.

This kind of stuff did not work during the great depression and it’s not working now [1, 2, 3, 4].The economy went soaring after the soldiers came home and government spending dropped by 2/3’s. While there was a great deal of spending during WWII, the non-military producing private sector continued to shrink until 1946.

Associated Press:

The Federal Reserve announced a $1.2 trillion plan three months ago designed to push down mortgage rates and breathe life into the housing market.

But this and other big government spending programs are turning out to have the opposite effect. Rates for mortgages and U.S. Treasury debt are now marching higher as nervous bond investors fret about a resurgence of inflation.

That’s the Catch-22 threatening to make an awful housing market potentially worse and keep the economy stuck in a funk. Kick-starting the economy requires higher spending, but rising rates mean fewer Americans will be able to refinance their home loans. And some potential buyers will be shut out of the market by higher monthly payments they won’t be able to afford.

To understand how this is all connected, you have to think like a bond trader. Inflation is their enemy because it means the purchasing power of the dollars they receive when bonds eventually are paid off will be diminished. The only question is by how much.

http://iusbvision.wordpress.com/200...-are-turning-out-to-have-the-opposite-effect/

bHo is destrying our economy right before our very eyes. :(

It sounds like Joe is the one having to come in the back door and sit in the back of the bus. He's just window dressing. I wonder if it's because he doesn't want to have the "First socialist VP" label attached to him as his legacy, that he lets these gaffes slip out, although he does have a history of this sort of thing. I think it's more of him being shut out and he is just pi$$ed off at being treated like the proverbial red headed step child. He had more input as a Senator.

Obama ousts AmeriCorps' IG who investigated friend

By ANN SANNER and PETE YOST, Associated Press Writers

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama says he has lost confidence in the inspector general who investigates AmeriCorps and other national service programs and has told Congress he is removing him from the position.

Obama's move follows an investigation by IG Gerald Walpin finding misuse of federal grants by a nonprofit education group led by Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, who is an Obama supporter and former NBA basketball star.

Walpin was criticized by the acting U.S. attorney in Sacramento for the way he handled an investigation of Johnson and St. HOPE Academy, a nonprofit group that received hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal grants from the Corporation for National and Community Service. The corporation runs the AmeriCorps program.

.....

The president didn't offer any more explanation, but White House Counsel Gregory Craig, in a letter to Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, cited the U.S. attorney's criticism of Walpin to an integrity committee for inspectors general.

"We are aware of the circumstances leading to that referral and of Mr. Walpin's conduct throughout his tenure and can assure you that the president's decision was carefully considered," Craig wrote.
Grassley had written Obama a letter pointing to a law requiring that Congress be given the reasons an IG is fired. He cited a Senate report saying the requirement is designed to ensure that inspectors general are not removed for political reasons.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090612/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_national_service_inspector_general

We all know darn well why he was removed. He was finding another or bHo's friends dirty. As he'll get a free ride, because the press has drunk the Kool aid also. Who voted for all the crap that is going on? Not I... I knew this would occur.... it's his MO since the beginning of his political career and with a little help from his friends. What BS this is.

‘Stimulus’ Kills Pennsylvania Steel Jobs

Remember how having a bunch of brilliant grown-ups in the White House was going to restore our tattered relations with key allies? And how the ’stimulus’ bill would create millions of jobs here in the United States?

Instead, the bill has sparked a trade war with Canada - one that will get worse if it is not addressed. And while the Obama team can offer only guesses as to how many ’stimulus jobs’ fit on the head of a pin, we can already point to 600 Pennsylvania steelworkers who are losing their jobs as a direct result of the bill:

Canadian and American business leaders joined forces Thursday to warn of the growing threat to prosperity in both countries due to the so-called Buy American provisions in President Barack Obama’s economic stimulus package.

Obama signed his US$787 billion economic recovery bill into law in February. It dictates that the steel and manufactured goods bought with federal funds must be made in the U.S.

That has effectively shut out Canadian companies that make everything from steel pipes and equipment to specialized machinery from bidding on contracts to build bridges, repair sewers or update municipal waste treatment plants.

Stateside, the sting is also being felt. As many as 600 steelworkers in Pennsylvania, whose union lobbied for the Buy America law, are slated to lose their jobs at Duferco Farrell after the company lost orders from its biggest customer because some of its goods are partly produced abroad.

It’s ironic that Obama’s policy has fostered cross-border cooperation - in an effort to repeal his agenda and prevent further job losses. And where the administration should be vigilant to promote economic growth, they are instead oblivious to the damage their policies are doing.

Now wait.... here comes the catterwalling from the socialist for the source quoted, regardless of the facts.

Those dang evil Bush and his fellow conservatives causing such anguish and the poor socialist/liberals have worked so hard to ensure capitalism lives on. But never fear this will be spun that will absolve all blame from bHo and his thugs, so you socialist will be able to sleep and dream of other ways to tax the heck outta us evil productive hard working folks.

Tax all fast food to fund the Socialized Health Program, for those that can’t afford or refuse to but health insurance, and leave those of us that are happy with what we got alone. I mean fast food is a major cause, along with cigs, for our health problems. (Dead serious about this tax) Lets put our taxes where our mouths are. Just make sure it goes directly to the Socialized Health Program. If we don’t have a Socialized Health Program Czar, hard to keep track of all the Czars we have, then we need one.

Shouldn’t these Czars have to be approved by Congress, especially with as much power as they have…..oh I know he doesn't have to, that’s just how bHo is avoiding the Constitution and consolidating power, slllliiiiiiccckkk. Clinton has nothing on this guy.
