Playing the I fund

I briefly caught a mental glimpse of those new Burger King commercials; the bumper cars, the pocket bike jump. "My pain is your gain." :D
I think the Thailand market plunge may have back-handed us in the I-Pit yesterday.

I say we go up from here to the end of the year; 2 - 3 percent. :)
Thanks Fivetears, your pain is my pain. Last Friday and this Monday, we caught the dollar flat-footed. It wasn't prepared to go down, and didn't know it was supposed to go down. Tuesday, the dollar finally came to its senses, cracked and finally ceded its position. Hopefully, by Wednesday, our patience, persistence and perseverance can finally pay off. :)

I think I'm taking it. I am predicting a drop in the dollar after 9:00 am Pacific time to get a few pennies back and then pain for the rest of the week. I'm heading to the parking lot.

basis for the above prediction: Fear (that should validate Birchbiden)

I had a funny feeling looking at the intraday chart of the S&P 500. I saw a head and shoulders formation (between 10:45 and 11:45) and suspected we're in for a down day. :worried:

Y'all left the PIT! Game ain't over yet!

Thankfully, the dollar only went up a cent since then. That means we get to keep our +.14 cents from the I-fund.
Currently 60% and 40% in I and S funds, respectively. Considering your knowledge in playing the I fund, do you think this a good mix? And if so, for how long?

Your input is greatly appreciated.

Hi Ed! I'm one of those jumping mexican beans, so I'm not sure if I'm the right person to ask. If you held that allocation throughout the year, you'd have been near the top of the leaderboard. I'm bullish on the market, so I think a 60/40 mix would be great even for next year as a buy and hold strategy. As for myself, I'm out of stocks until December 27 (Wednesday). :)
