Playing the I fund

Weatherweenie, are you using Yahoo's site with the 20 minute delay to get the price for Nikkei 300?

This Japanese site is more up-to-date: http://www.nni.nikkei.co.jp/CF/FR/MKJ/

But if you want an even more up-to-date ticker with Yahoo's automatic update functionality (with % incl.), I use this link:

Nikkei 225: http://www.marketwatch.com/tools/quotes/basic.asp?siteid=mktw&sid=123712&symb=JP:1804610

Nikkei 300: http://www.marketwatch.com/tools/quotes/basic.asp?siteid=mktw&sid=125497&symb=JP:1885002

It took me some time to figure out how to get the symbols from MarketWatch, but it's worth it because it lets me check the Japanese site and then the MarketWatch site to take a peek into the future (it's about a minute ahead).

Ebbnflow,

Are these pay sites or are they for free? Thanks!

The Japanese site only let's you check the Nikkei's price, not the accompanying news reports. I think they make you pay for those. MarketWatch is free, but they do offer some services for pay as well. :)

I look on CNN and get the current values for the FTSE and DAX, but would really like a running graph, like we get for U.S. markets. Anyone know a simple way to have that?

Thanks, FundSurfer! Might as well add these, too. :)

I see the dollar spiked upward in response to Philly Fed report. This happened AFTER the trading deadline, so it will not affect Barclay's pricing today. Suppose the increase holds all day into the close, but is not enough to trigger an FV. Where will it have an effect? In tomorrow's opening price?
