nasa1974's Account Talk

It is getting tougher to make decision on what to do with our TSP accounts with all the news out there.:worried:

VIX is low - better sell. 7 Sentnials on the edge of switching from a buy to a sell - Some videos talking about the S&P reaching 1183 and if so then 1201 is possible. But we are top heavy and the market is do a pull back. The cycles, peaks and lows, higher highs and lower lows, daily trends, weekly trends, monthly or yearly trends and do not forget resistance. AAARRRGGGGGG!!!!!!

Are we having fun yet?

I agree with you Nasa. It would be pleasing to see everyone positive. Hopefully that is everyone's goal for each other no matter how competitive. Our TSP moves should reflect how close we are to using the money after retirement.

Blue :)

And then, when a decision is made to preserve the month's winnings & acted upon, the market does that sudden unexplainable drop in those last 30 minutes and bamboozles your take, & so, your balance! I would like to get out, give my nerves a rest, but - ! I am scaaared to!!!

grandma,

I agree the last 30 minutes can be real scary, especially when you made your move before noon.

Man, I hate it when I fall back to the second page no one reads my incredible remarks and rants.

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

I always seem to be a day or two late for protecting my hard earned dollars.

Hoping that the last 50 minutes the market gets closer to the positive side of things. The C and S has been trading in a pretty tight channel all day. Might get lucky and have a buying frenzy before the market closes.

It's happened before don't go rolling your eyes at me. Sheesh!! :toung:

i hear ya, and read your 'incredible remarks and rants', just don't often post in other's threads, i have a bad habit of going over the top, but i'm working on that.

talk about bad timing, i sold a commodity etf at a $1.50/share profit two days ago, then yesterday it shoots up another 50 cent, that was real money there, not this funny matching funds that will be worthless by the time we ever get to see them.

on the same day i moved tsp from 100% in to 60/40 and today it drops like a rock. if i was so sure it was going to happen why didn't i take it all out?

danged if i do and danged if i don't.

If the market continues it's current path I will get back half of what I lost Thursday and Friday last week. :toung: Might be a productive month yet. :suspicious:

In the S&P the ceiling of resistance seems to be 1165. Working inside a tight channel right now. Going to be an interesting final 30 minutes. Hanging on tight for the ride. :D GL everyone.

Go for the 200 week SMA at 1226 - then we go much higher.

Birch,
I wouldn't disagree. The question is on the timing. Commen sense says that we will have a pull back before we make the run for 1226. Not a lot of volume and for some reason the market appears to be getting tired.
I know I said this earlier this month but I really need to decide to fall back to G soon. Earlier this month I took a chance and stayed put. I must say that I was lucky and did add some nice dollars to my account. I still have both IFT's so the next day or two may see me moving to G to protect a MTD of 7.28% in my real account.

Senate panel OKs Wall Street reform

By Jennifer Liberto, senior writer March 22, 2010: 5:53 PM ET

"WASHINGTON (CNNMoney.com) -- A key banking panel took only minutes Monday to approve a sweeping regulatory reform measure aimed at warding off future collapses in the financial system.
With no debate or discussion the Senate Banking Committee voted 13-10 in favor of the bill put forth by panel chairman Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., moving it to the full Senate just after Dodd gaveled the hearing to order at 5 p.m. ET......"

So how will this effect the market the rest of the week?

Also mentioned in this article: " Dodd wants the banking committee to vote before the next congressional recess, which is scheduled to start Friday. He wants to ensure the regulatory overhaul makes it to the Senate floor before the last week of May, because midterm elections could complicate getting a final agreement."

How will Congressional recess effect the market?

NASA many of our Top 50 have moved to safety. Dont wake in the morning with the taste of stale bull hockey pucks in your account.

I dont share BTs optimism at the moment, but yes it was a nice ride up
and I took the ride but gotta watch out for the greedy monster that whispers buy and hold. With 2 IFTs you have choices. Good luck.

Thanks FAB1. My problem is that I seem to be in one day to long. :D Depending on how the market flows today will determine what I do. I do hate the noon cut off though.

Didn't pull the trigger because everything was negative before noon. Going to be interesting this last hour of trading. Fingers crossed.

Well is today just a breather or the start of a major pullback? Sure was a roller coaster ride earlier. Didn't give it all back today, that's a good thing. Hang onto to your sticky pants you may need them tomorrow.

Still haven't decided whether to stay 50/50 C/S or jump to G, too much conflicting information.

I guess I will fall out of the top 100 today. However I think I just moved closer to Birch.
