nasa1974's Account Talk

Doctor's appointment and some running around today (new drivers license, car inspection, pick up dog food). You know the usual. Hope I can find some WIFI spots for my iPhone to keep track of the market.

You are welcome to draft me but you are a little too heavy in the S fund to swing past. But we are all going much higher. Only the lonely sitting on the sidelines know the way I feel today. I'm on the hunt for the Lostdawg.

Thanks Birch. I don't mind staying right behind waiting for the right moment. :D Actually the S fund has been out performing the C fund since the beginning of February. So we will see how things go. Keep moving up the ladder.

What the heck just happened.

The market hasn't seen a turn around like this in weeks. :worried:

Around noon everything looking great, almost 1% up both C&S. Then at 1:30 the sell off started. That's OK just after lunch bunch taking some profits from a nice morning high. But it kept getting lower and lower and lower with a few nudges up. Then at around 3:30 it looked like panic set in................

What the heck happened. Is this the beginning of the great correction??????

Not feeling the warm fuzzies for tomorrow either.

DANG!!!

I went out to fertilize my lawn and scratch some dirt for vegetables. This week is a lot like last week and I'll probably lose money on the week.

Yeah, Fridays haven't been very friendly lately. Started getting excited. Thought I had a chance to close out the month at 10%. Just hoping to stay above 5. Have a great night.

Below are the numbers from my <1% Option vs. "Buy and Hold" for the weeks ending 3/19 and 3/26.

Even though last week had a few surprises the C, S and (30,35,35) funds where winners. The F fund was the only loser last week. The I fund barely beat out the G fund for bragging rights.

Can't even guess how this week will fair out (end of month, end of 1st quarter and beginning of a new month). Good luck to everyone this week.

Well the markets just opened and it looks just like last week. C & S up 0.50% already. Last week the funds showed promise and by lunch time the sellers ruled. Do not want to get to excited to only be disappointed again. :(

Yes, it does appear the switch has flipped the last few day. Strong in the morning flat to down in the evening. One significant thing is we haven't had a huge down day since early Feb. If it happens this week, then I expect that to be on the 1st or 2nd day of April.

Lazlo has increased his SPX target for 2010 to 1325. I see more folks in the top 60 rankings are stepping to the sidelines - that could be a classic mistake for the benefit of capital preservation.

Well made a couple of dollars today. What the heck made the C & S take a quick fall today? Strange market for sure. Goodnight everyone.

Well March has been pretty positive except for the last week. Will we finsh out the month and quarter on a positive note? Follow the recent trend and I would have to say no. But there have been some surprises lately. Mixed results so far.

The attached Excel sheet is the April numbers from 1996 to 2009. I should have posted this late last week but forgot. This information is from the monthly estimates found on GovExec.com.
