nasa1974's Account Talk

Well even though March ended badly it really wasn't a bad month. In my real TSP account I made 7.32% and YTD and 1st quarter I am up 6.73%. If April can work it's magic I could be close to what I made in 2009 in only the first four months of 2010. Sure hope I didn't just jinx the whole darn thing. :embarrest: Good luck everyone.

For the 1st quarter here are the percentages from my <1% spreadsheet. Obviously the MTD is for March.

.................MTD.......YTD
<1%.............. 2.71% ..... 2.70%
80,5,5,5,5% ...1.17%...... 1.23%
30,35,35% .....6.61%...... 3.49%
G-100% .........0.27%...... 0.77%
F-100% ..........0.11%..... 1.69%
C-100% .........6.04%...... 3.73%
S-100% .........7.39%...... 7.81%
I-100% ...........6.28%..... 1.05%

The market is truely a strange beast. It looked as if yesterday would follow the ways of Wednesday and continue it's move down. :( But no! The market made a unexplained move up. :D Today we can all rest a little bit with the markets closed and get ready for Monday.

In case I don't get a chance to say it later. I hope everyone has a special weekend with friends and family.

Wow! 33 members made an IFT this morning. I can't remember the last time I saw that many in one day.
Market closes in 3 hours and 45 minutes. Hang on to your sholder harness it might be a wild ride.

Of those IFTs that's a combined average of 32% G&F and 68% CSI. It's a good sign to see money moving into the markets.

Well the market has opened on the negative side again today. I really can't complain however. I have been able to make money the last month with this crazy market. The one thing that has been tough is trying to figure out what to do with the <1% Option vs. Buy and Hold spreadsheet I have. I haven't been making any <1% moves lately because the market has been so crazy. Just like our real TSP account I make my decision before noon and it has become a tough call lately. But I guess that could be a good thing, right? Good Luck to everyone today.

Well you win some and loose some. First three days gave me some decent green. I should expect a red day now and again. :D Maybe we can recover tomorrow.

What kind of emotions will the market drag out of us today? The overseas markets are looking a bit down this morning. :( GL everyone.

I fully anticipate that when the C fund returns to its' previous high price of $17.53 that my tugboat will achieve a very nice balance. It took the C fund several years from 2005 - 2006 to break out of the $14-$15 range. We are moving faster now which is not really favorable to new TSP members - but you can't change the future.

Todays market sure looks just like yesterday. Let's hope everyone keeps their mouth shut and we just might get a little green out of the market today.
