Well I didn't pull back into G today like I said I would Friday. Got back to the desk about 11:50 and the C and S where negative so I decided to stay put. Now the two are slightly positive. :D I guess I wiil have to play it by ear. ;)

An interesting article from Seeking Alpha.

Why California Is Doomed
March 09, 2010

By Charles Hugh Smith

"California is doomed for two simple but profound reasons: the state's cost structure is too high for most businesses to survive, and it is a boom-dependent economy...."

Looks like the rocket ride has started. Will it turn into a rollercoaster ride or after attaining orbit will we see a steep reentry by Friday.

What a ride yesterday. I think some folks are going to need a new pair of sticky pants. :D
What is really surprising is my position on the Tracker. As I have said before I do not use the tracker to see who I am beating or how much better I am doing then so and so. But what I did notice is that I am beating all but the S Fund. Holy Cow! Of course I am only .01% ahead of the C Fund but I will bask in the glory for the moment.

Interesting finish to the market today. Half way through the month and I am up almost 6% MTD, in my real account. WOW!! Next week will be very interesting for sure. Have a great weekend everybody.

There is minimal resistance at 1168 and then 1219. However, there is a 9 month cycle low nesting the first week in April - that may exert some downward pressure on prices.

Not to jinx anything but if the market continues to stay green I will be breaking new ground today for an all time high in my TSP account. Now I'm nervous. I have 2 IFT's left and might want to use one to lock everything in. DANG!!

Go ahead and count how many "all time highs" you have had in your TSP account, then don't worry about it.

Britts4life, It's not how many highs I have had it is the time to the next high that drives me crazy. As of yesterday I was less than $100.00 away from my previous high achieved on 9/19/2009. It has taken me almost 6 months to recover from hanging in too long. I have a tendancy to wait one day too long to move out of the market. That's the worry. Thanks for the support and welome to my account. Stop by any time.

As everyone knows I do not use the tracker to say I am doing better than you but just a comparison to the flow and ebb of the MB. What is interesting is how much the tracker has changed since the first of the year. Currently out of 353 members in the tracker 304 are even or in positive territory. At the beginning of the year it was more like 300+ in negative territory. We need to keep this positive trend going until all members are out of the negative side of the tracker.
