Re: Sell Alert

Let me see if I'm clear on this. Even though you would have used your last IFT of the month today; you will still be able to move your $ back into the G?

Re: Sell Alert

I used one when I sold yesterday. I will use one to buy back in today. That is my two IFT's. When I get the next sell, I will go 100% G until January.

The 2 IFT limit only keeps you from moving $ out of G. You can always move money back into G after the 2 IFT limit in, for example, 5% increments every trading day. I understand you can also redistribute fractional distributions back to integer values, but I don't see much point in that.

You get 2 IFTs per month to move money whatever you want. After that, the only IFTs that you can make for the month are back into the 'G' fund.

Re: Sell Alert

This will be my second and last IFT for the month (I can always go back to G at anytime). I have made a plan to go with the first buy signal of the month as I may only get one buy in a month. Sometimes, looking at past data, there would have been up to 4 buys, but that did not happen very often. Hope this answers your question.
Going with the 1st buy signals sounds like a good move. I think Intrepid Timer does the same. I know I wasted too many chances these past few months not wanting to use IFTs early in the month and then ended up not using them at all. These limits do constrain us unfavorably, but I won't get started on that here. :)

Re: Sell Alert

So with you being out of IFT's for the month do you plan to ride out the rest of the month in hopes for the Christmas rally or are you going to get back out at the next sell signal?

If I get a sell signal I will sell. Unless the European CRAP gets settled, I personally don't think there will be a Christmas rally. Even if Europe does come to some kind of agreement, I think any rally will be short lived - just my opinion. I am usually wrong, so that is why I now have my own system that I follow.

Re: Sell Alert

Nope, always on the wrong side of the trade hoping for a reversal...

Even though I got a buy signal, I am a little worried that I may end up on the wrong side. I just wish I would have been following the system since October. Oh well, like they say, hindsight is 20/20.
