Re: Sell Alert

Lost .14% today. Currently at +11.76% since October 7 buy signal. Tomorrow's signal will be posted later tonight.

Re: Sell Alert

Woohoo. I went form the 300's to the upper 200's on the tracker. Now, if I could just break up into the 100's, I will be somewhat satisfied for the year, considering how hard it has been to make money.

So are you going to stay in the rest of the month or sell when your next sell signal comes?

Re: Sell Alert

I will sell if and when I get a sell signal.

No santa rally for you then possibly? I don't even remember how last December was so I am just listening to the other people talking about it. I have high hopes so hopefully we get some kind of rally this month.

Maybe, maybe not. I may not get a sell signal this month. The last buy signal lasted almost two months from Oct 5 to around Dec 5. I got a sell signal and sold. The very next day I got a buy signal so I went back in.

I see. I don't know how those systems work or how to make them. I did some reading and some people make these fancy formulas in Excel, but I don't understand the stock market enough to dive into that. Did you make your own system or do you pay for it?

I have a method that considers the VIX (volatility index) value and the closing price of the S&P 500 two days in a row. There are all sorts of methods including chart trending, formulas, etc. All you have to do is google stock market forecasting and you will have more info than you can handle. The hard part is finding a method that will work most of the time. Mine is about 70% accurate. There isn't any method that is correct all of the time.
