I'm thinking about joining you in the G fund. I've recovered a bit in the last couple weeks and I wonder if I should take a break. Since I'm so far in the negative it's hard for me to want to get out of the market since it seems everytime I do I miss out on a big upswing. Hmm...what to do what to do...

You and me both. :cool: I'm ready to bail, but greedy to recoup more losses. Which way do I go?

Well I went to pull the trigger on Friday to get out, but I missed the cutoff by a minute or so. If today ends up being positive I guess I can say I'm glad I wasn't able to. I know people say this month is supposed to be a good month for stocks so I wonder if I should just stay in the whole month and hopefully be in a better position than where I am now. As long as the positive days are more positive than the negative days are negative in the end I guess I would be positive. Not as positive as I could be had I played all the right moves, but my history of playing the right moves is not so good lol. With how the news has been leading the market lately I tend to wonder if the chart reading a lot of people do on here really matters. News out of no where can't be forecasted on a chart can it?

No problem. I am curious about how the sell signal will affect my account this week, with the positive news in Europe. Oh, in case anyone is interested, I may receive 4-5 buy and sell signals in one month, which does not work well with 2 IFT's. But it has been almost two months since the buy signal flipped to a sell. In the future, I will jump on the first buy signal and sell on the first sell signal as that is all Congress and the TSP Board will allow.

Enough said. I pulled the trigger before noon so I should be 100% G by EOD.

After selling today, my system is up 12.13% since the October 7 buy signal. Will post tomorrow's signal in the morning.

My system flipped back to a buy after the market closed yesterday. I will be going 100% S at COB today.

Thanx for the update. Will this be your 1st or 2nd IFT for Dec? Also, have you decided what to do if your system gives more trades than our IFT limits allow?

I think I'm just going to ride this out because even if we do go down, I think (hope) it will be only slightly. I'm also not good at making moves at the right times so if I get out I bet I will miss the upswing as usual. Thank you for the update on your system jkenjohnson.

This will be my second and last IFT for the month (I can always go back to G at anytime). I have made a plan to go with the first buy signal of the month as I may only get one buy in a month. Sometimes, looking at past data, there would have been up to 4 buys, but that did not happen very often. Hope this answers your question.

Yesterday can mean very different things from day to day, week to week. Putting 12/5 or some such would help give it perspective ;)
