Jkenjohnson's Account Talk

I was busy at work (he he) yesterday back calculating returns for my system. Here are the results. Last post today.

Buy and hold C fund My system

2005 4.83% 9.95%
2006 15.85% 21.31%
2007 5.15% 9.31%
2008 -36.6% 20.55%
2009 26.07% 76.09%
2010 14.59% 21.68%

Look at years 2008 and 2009 And this is the C fund. S fund would have done even better but my system only keys off of the S&P and Russell 2000.

Should have taken my money out before getting married and going on the honeymoon. Anyway, I am going to start posting a buy or sell and what the results would be for the S fund, since I am not really interested in the C and Russell 2000. To date, had I been in S fund 100% S, as of October 7, I would still be up 2.97%. MY SYSTEM IS STILL ON A BUY TODAY. I will post Monday's signal by Monday morning. Who is still in the market?

Re: Jkenjohnson's Account Talk Alert

For what it is worth, after yesterday's close, my system is teetering on the brink of a sell for Monday morning. It is so close, it can be called a sell or a buy. I think I will stay in for a while longer to see if I can get back some of what I lost. I am really gettting disgusted with the market and thought about eating my losses and not getting back in until all of the super committee crap is over and all of the European crap will be over, but that may take months or years?????????????????

I'm sticking in here even though tomorrow may be flat to down 1/2 of todays gains. I'll buy more tomorrow with 1/2 pullback. If no pullback...will ride current wave and sell by close Thursday.

I lost 0.1% yesterday but my system is still up 5.9% since the October 7 buy signal. D..m, if I would have only followed it, I would be up rather than negative. I could kick my own arse.

How about you kick mine and I'll kick yours! Don't remember who it was that went on a rant about Europe a couple weeks back, but I'm beginning to identify with him/her. I'm getting tired of seeing futures go up 2-4% on new "news" of lame solutions just when I'm feeling comfortable about going back into C/S! The market rockets immediately and its too late! So I get defensive, preserve capital and wait until I feel comfortable again --- and then it f'n happens all over again!!!! Thi9s is ridiculous. The IMF is going to rescue Europe?! Give me a break! Lame! The breaking news is the Fed has stepped up to help out by making the dollar cheaper in swaps for Euros -- so now you got to be in equities just to stay even -- which means not only did I miss the pop, but my overall value has gone down. Small guys can't win w/o taking enormous risks in this market. Let the EURO blow up, let Morgan Stanley, B of A, Citigroup blow up -- let's get on with it!!!!! There ... I feel better. (Sorry for hijacking your thread JKen.

No problem, I feel the same way. And, I was the one of the people that went on a rant about Europe.

I am happy to report that my system is now up 11% :) since October 7. I wish I had followed it earlier on. Based on the futures and yesterday's rapid rise, I anticipate a downward day. However, my system is still on a buy.

Sell Alert

My system gave a sell signal after yesterday's close. It yielded 10.83% since October 7. I will be going 100% G COB on 12/5/11.

Thanks for the update.

Quick question... Would you mind putting your current signal in your signature, so we know how to find it? :D please :)
