That's why I have an older '01 diesel w/26 gal tank, one motorcycle w/7 gal tank and another smaller motorcycle w/3.4 gal tank. they get 20-22 mpg avg, 40 mpg avg, 75 mpg avg, respectively. Usually I'm able to buy low, avoid the spike and buy low again. the cycles would be getting even more mpg if it wasn't for the corn spit in the gas.
higher gasoline prices are coming due to the mandated lower sulfur gas required, which was already done to diesel fuel, reason for it being more $$ than gasoline, that will change after the mandate. isn't the UN EPA wonderful?

Yes, Wall Street does not want rational, informed investors. Wall Street is a money machine generating hundreds of billions in annual fees, commissions, bonuses, options, all to benefit Wall Street insiders, not their 95 million Main Street investors.
Worse, Wall Street is always one step ahead of us investors, regardless of what you think you’re learning from any behavioral economics book. Be warned, they are working for Wall Street insiders, brainwashing you. What they’re doing is coding your personality, to control your decisions. Wall Street’s behavioral economists are mapping your irrational behavioral patterns, then like a CIA intelligence team secretly monitoring the enemy, their quants write algorithm codes that help Wall Street target the little guy with new “financial weapons of mass destruction” that manipulate financial markets.

good article, doom and gloom are two of my most favoritest subjects.
we human meatsacks will never be able to think as quickly and consistently as the financial cyborg algorythms. that is why i pay only so much attention to technical analysis, as my interpretation will always be a day late and a dollar short (and that's not even counting actionable handicaps like only 2 ift's and a noon trading deadline). but, you don't have be able to think smarter and faster than the machines, you just need to get a sense of what they are thinking, have a mean contrarian streak, and not be afraid to act. also a 'not a care in the world' attitude helps make the game funner. once you realize you have no chance, then nothing to lose is a whole lot more of an advantage than a liability.
(see burros-ark. also i think usercuz is developing some research in this area.)

why did u move my post? there is nothing political about it. Facts are Facts. people like u and others make it political so the truth is put away. OR did u move it because it goes against your political agenda.
this site is getting worst by the day. I guess that is why so many don't post anymore and have left this site over the yrs.

I come here (and I'll continue to come here !) to mostly read about investment ideas, and Fed employee experiences...and an occasional funny side-track ! I DON'T come here to participate in arguments with people who have beliefs that are WAY in or out of line with mine....
I'm reminded of a line from a Paul Simon song : "One man's ceiling is another man's floor..."
Or a Jerrod Niemann song : "The Eagle flies with left and right wings..."

Yes, actual facts are facts; but purported facts are debatable.
The 'legal term' normally applicable to sites like this with regard to such "facts" is (double/triple/quadruple/etc.) hearsay.

Unfortunately your right wing brethren have politicized Global Warming so much, it was moved to the political threads.
Hard to have a rational, sound scientific discussion with you guys before you end up "going Obama".

I took no aim at obama. The news article from a liberal news paper took aim. The leftist and the UN have politicized the subject and are using it to take over everyone's lives including yours. Yes, politics are allowed; or more accurately, not prohibited. Only unlawful speech is prohibited: discriminatory, harassing, or violations of conduct codes. IMO and off the top of my head.
