Steadygain's Account Talk

Steady, I believe you are on the money with your analysis. I just wish we could both pick the moment to make a move. I am 100% in G like you without a transfer left this month I think I missed an opportunity. To me safe is better than sorry but only time will tell. If you have a moment of clarity and decide to make a move please continue to share your thoughts.

Once the Market settles down and we start seeing some good news, sorry
will be easier to take and safe will become a memory. Food for thought ! ;)

Did he say anything about being wrong!! calling the bottom in July?? I'm not a big Cramer fan.....:suspicious:

Sorry, didn't mean to give an impression that Steady had even mentioned the wild man. Even though I am an electrical engineer (computer engineer for govt purposes) I fall into stream of consciousness modes from time to time.;)

wasn't casting aspersions merely mentioning what I saw the night before.

Cramer is useful for entertainment purposes and not much else --- imho

peace loves love, noodles

PG, (as you will now be knighted from this day forward)

Never let the vibes from my home create a "Sorry, didn't mean" response. My friend - Everyone is cool here...

and if they weren't I wouldn't hesitate to scrape the dirt off my shoes using their teeth or knocking it loose by kicking their groin.

So be at peace my friend - we can tell you're cool.

Your post did cause me to ponder last night. I believe the birds must have some built in map that makes them remember there home location - and if taken to some unknown destination - they instinctly are able to fly the shortest distance (as opposed to having to remember the route used to take them away). If I'm right then it may not be exceptional intelligence - but rather a genetic "gift" that make finding destinations ideal.

Well anyway, if you fall into streams of consciousness THEN THIS IS DEFINATELY THE PLACE FOR YOU.

Let me take you down...cause I'm going to..Strawberry Fields...Nothing is REAL... and nothing to get up about...

I suspect everyone is watching the charts a little too close

and getting a little on edge......

So let me tell you about those:

Tiny Bubbles......Tiny Bubbles..

........in the air......in the air

..................make me HAPPY....make me Happy

Innate intelligence is responsible for the organization, maintenance and healing of the body. In some of god's creatures I think it goes farther and gives them their internal GPS. Just another thought to ponder at your leisure...

Good call. Too many people have this market under a microscope and may be missing the big picture. My Papa (Grandfather) always used to say,"Sooner or later, no matter what you're doing, the dirty laundry has to be washed."

Consider this "Spring Cleaning" in September!

Tiny bubbles make me glad all over.....!

Ah, Steady, my sparkling friend! You've done it again!

My father and I used to sing this song as a duet, with our guitars accompanying, while I was growing up. I hadn't thought of the song in years. But such happy memories!:cool::cool:

Good call. Too many people have this market under a microscope and may be missing the big picture. I think in all sincerity it's almost impossible to avoid - as by nature most of us are inclined to grab a "big gain" - "avoid a big loss" - and constantly see if either one is resulting. Plus our frequent visits here are essentially impossible without a 'quick check'. My Papa (Grandfather) always used to say,"Sooner or later, no matter what you're doing, the dirty laundry has to be washed."

Consider this "Spring Cleaning" in September!

Thanks Frixxxx - my father said something similar.

"Into every life some rain must fall". :):)

Am swamped... really need to run...but wanted this on TOP

Thank you Lady -- just what I needed ;):)........(Actually I like the other post better - goes with the song like the duet you and your father use to enjoy)

Beyond the Markets and essentially everything else are:
THE LAWS OF PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY - FOR THAT UNDERLIES EVERYTHING

When 2 Diamonds with the highest clarity and radiance, flawless, and cut perfectly are blended together - their chemistry is changed on such a dynamic level and magnified to such a degree that's is overwhelmingly. As Squalebear would say: Food for thought;)

I just went 100% S Fund at COB

because I noticed Nnuut did and thought, "Hey that's my FUND and I'll be damned if anyone is leaving me behind on my roller coaster".

Kind of crazy - but that's the truth.

GL - Norm :D:D

Steady, welcome to the amusment park - we're going on the roller coaster backwards this time.

Looking for low 1300s mark for the "how high does this roller coaster go" riders to start looking around how high.

Can't ignore the momentum, though!

Thanks Nsurf,
The worst of what I saw coming has already been addressed - we tanked - and amazingly are springing back earlier than I projected. For me - ELECTION TIME - has always been the major focus and now more than ever I believe "Politics will RULE"

Another dip is trivial - and a "better entry point" is meaningless if in fact the Markets respond as I've described all along.

In the end - I believe a huge gain (even a sustained one lasting several months) will follow with a substantial crash and will probably not get out of this mess altogether for at least another year. But here I'm reflecting on those outside of the MB.

Quote of the Week

It's not often a Moderator will get the Quote of the Week cause I never want to feel like a brown noser - and usually someone else says something that stands out the most

But fair is fair and honestly I could care less who says it.

This most accurately sums up the overall picture. Short, concise, and to the point.

Congratulations ChemEng, a Job well done.

Well I'm tired of looking at the charts and honestly:

Nothing really matters

...............Anyone can see

.......................Nothing really matters

....................................................to me

Any way the wind blows

Now that I'm fully in - it's probably better to just let things go for awhile and try to avoid checking the charts too much over the next few weeks or month... way easier said than done :notrust::p

This weekend heading to Emily's college for 'Family Time'. Will camp near by - so the kids (as I still call them) can use the paddle boats...and various other activities throughout so should be good

This is another one I saw on a blog:

"privatize gain, socialize loss"

How true, but not surprising!
