Steadygain's Account Talk

Well it's time to play a few broken records...

This 2 IFTs really sucks..... pop...skip.... This 2 IFTs really sucks .....pop...

What to do .... what to do ... just a few weeks to go

I'll probably go mostly I Fund as it may bring the most ...

Well I cut my own tree every year

and it's big -- needs a big stand -- cause the room is big

So anyone else out there still using 'real trees'??

Always real from a local guy's tree farm.

Yep, either 1.5 days one way or eeearly start for a 16-hour one dayer-assuming good weather. No airports or planes for me this year-I don't want to bring H1N1 into the family-too many generations to infect.

PLEASE -- make it 2 days.

16 hours is only for if you're between 16 and 22

Find a cheap (but nice and comfortable) place and arrive in style !!

You didn't get the shot ? :worried:

Wow -- they gave it to me -- so I figured everyone got it.

Well anyway -- in another month it's the New Year and then you can fly anywhere -- anytime you feel like it ;):D

Same here CB -- ya know it's something 87.4% of the MB just can't understand cause they're surrounded by 42 miles of nothing but houses and concrete in all directions.

But us 'country folk' have it made.

It's wonderful to support the local community --- I do the same thing with local Market -- for garden stuff I don't have from my own garden.

Community-supported agriculture (CSAs) are great. I talked 4 friends of mine into joining me in program this past year, hope they will again next year. It was a learning experience dividing up weekly produce supply, especially when production didn't come in quite as farmer anticipated, and/or produce available wasn't to everybody's preference-lots of swaps and negotiating to keep everybody happy. good experience. Supplemented with weekly farmers market buys.

If Birch and I ever get a chance to get out your way...

...we're planning on destroying your neighbor's house (the one with the jungle -- junk yard) and turning that whole area into 'garden space'

...so start gathering whatever seeds of things you want to grow :p

No, no, not her house! She's a poor elderly widowwoman-with a point-and-shoot-and not talking a camera. Just need to revamp extra vacant lot she can't see from the house, hidden behind the windbreak. I'm cogitating lately again on removing the chunk wood pile this winter pretty soon. she'lll never notice.

Sorry sweets, it's too late Birch and I already decided.

BTW --- haven't visited with you in quite awhile so this is a real treat.

Anyway -- the way we see it -- there's a lot less hassel if we include the space where her house is .... in the long run you'll thank us.

Well it's been good talking with ya... gotta run

Good Night all you little scoots ka boots.

Steady - What happened to our Big Brother Birchtree? I haven't seen any posts lately. I have to say....I'm addicted to TSP Talk message board!! I cannot say how much I enjoy getting to know all of you and your take on the markets.
I'm currently in the "G"arage, but waiting for the all clear!! Well, something like that.
Currently, I wanting a little pull back in the markets, but not for sure I'll get it. I burned an IFT already, because of our break out day of 126 on the DOW Monday thinking I would get my pull back this week. Well as we all know, the market can make a liar out of you.
I'm learning, but since figuring out about this message board, ALL of you have helped me make some money over the past few months.
Thanks Again Everyone for all you do for us Newbies, you might not here from us, but we enjoy the posts!!

Blindman

hello blindman and welcome to the mb,

don't mean to hijack steady's thread but feel free to let us hear from 'the newbies', start your own thread, tell us what you really think.

we all have our own opinions and investing styles, it only works when we each put it on the line, some are very technical others mainly sentiment traders, what when and why, it's all good, learn from each other, don't worry nobody is right all the time.

i think birch is gone on an all expense paid fishing trip for a bit, simple sin of being an analog guy trapped in a digital world, well maybe not so simple, but it could explain why he gets the finger so often.

try the tracker, it can help you focus, if you like rodeos, buckle up, we're all on this ride.

But you need to give us all the other fast talk that comes with the avatar:) Birch usually talks about the market running up, be in to win, approaching the B&Hers, etc etc. :D
Think you covered it! thanxxxx Guchi for the team effort!

Blindman -- I'm really honored to have you join the MB and all the more to come to my place.

Our Big Brother Birch -- is a ROCK that can't be moved. He is stronger than ever and trust me -- the only way he would ever leave this place is if the Government took this site off the internet.

Now I know that 97.4% of everything Birch shares is what largely pushes us more and more into the TSP World and all the more into the world of future financial dreams of 'security'.

Birch is a straight shooter and that's what is so cool about him.

But at times he's like someone who has had a little too much to drink :worried: and he will say the most outrageous comments and express some views that are strong enough to spark WW III  and so Tom ~~ the Administrator responsible for this site ~~ and the Moderators (who are largely here to keep things good) ~~ and all the others (like you and me) -- WE COULD ALL wind up in some serious 'trouble'.

So Birch does this once in awhile ~~ he pushes the envelope too far and has to be sent to the corner for awhile. He has to know that he can't destroy the whole site for everyone -- put us in 'legal problems' because he gets carried away.

Anyway -- this happens once in a very great while and he's coming back on 12/6/09 and you can be sure he will be stronger than ever.

I'm glad you enjoy us my friend -- and the more you make yourself known the more 'we' can enjoy you too.

I'm currently in the "G"arage, but waiting for the all clear!! Well, something like that.

Me too -- I'm still not anywhere near 20% (which is what I now consider the acceptable range for the AT) -- BUT -- I'm not about to blow another 5% going in too soon.

Currently, I wanting a little pull back in the markets, but not for sure I'll get it. I burned an IFT already, because of our break out day of 126 on the DOW Monday thinking I would get my pull back this week. Well as we all know, the market can make a liar out of you.

That's wonderful !!! It really is -- and all the more shows how important each of us is -- you too. ;)

Blindman

The honor is ours Blindman -- and I would very much encourage you to post more often.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Burrocrat, you flipped me out man -- you might want to ditch the ativar before 12/6 -- or get your ass kicked.

Well in honor of bridgewater Betty I'd like to say:

Waterfalls are beautiful and water itself is not only vital to our planet and every living thing but in many ways it's one of the greatest sources of 'Beauty'.

Betty know there's nothing like being on the bridge and looking down over the water. The flow of the water -- is like a musical rhythm that let's you drift off into a magical world.

So Bridge Water Betty -- welcome and don't be a stranger.

OK -- I'm off to lunch

MARKET UPDATE
Folks don't get frustrated with trying to figure things out....

the Markets ... SUCK !! ... and that's it.

So for now -- catch up on your work..or just visit about whatever

but forget the Markets....

Just wow on that market finish. TSPTALK money looks like it might be in some jeporady since retail stocks have further to slide and if those job numbers look bad on Friday...we are short term toast. Perhaps I moved a tad early. However...in terms of TSP real money...tok a very limited trade into equities for tomorrow in case there is a positive surprise there. I'm not looking for one...hoping for a flat finish and better equity buying next week. Who knows...

Who knows...

.......warp to ... vice presidential debate.......

'Let me tell you, I knew 'Felix the Cat' -- I grew up with him and he was a good friend of mine, and buddy you ain't no Felix the Cat...

...You're wearing a hat and carrying the weapon of death :nuts:
