Steadygain's Account Talk

Well we had no shortage of Sour Lemons recently

So I went IN and now plan to squeeze a good 5% or more

Then I'll chill and the 'next time' hopefully break through 10%

The Markets are like a box of chocolates ... you never know what you'll get

Sometimes 'THINGS HAPPEN' and you just go with it

Better to take the RISK than not to have tried at all

Ka Sera Sera ......

Our TSP Leon Lett Football Moves!!!

Frixxxx,

So many folks are celebrating on the 5 yard line...
Some are dancing on their Lilly Pads...
Some on Pins and Needles...

Any way you look at it lots of folks are in for a Leon Lett Moment:p

Too funny. Glad the folks around here have a sense of humor about it all. Good hunting Steady. I'm with you. I think CoolHand is expecting a short term bump to, but doesn't think it is worth the risk. I'll be bailing out reletively soon to about a 40% holding in C/S/I.

AMEN to that - and nothing could make (or keep) the MB better !

Thanks my good friend,
I guess it's in my Blood - I'm a Player

Always go in really for 'the good times' but sometimes walk away getting screwed :(

Good Morning ny good friends :)

I feel great this morning and have a good feeling for the week

So on purely a 'hunch' or 'gut' level - this should be a 3% or better

Hey! Where is Carnac, haven't a word from that guy in a long time? Hope he's OK?

Great minds think alike :p

Somehow have been reflecting and pondering way more than usual lately and thought about him over the past few evenings.

He's probably a really busy guy with a lot of stuff on his plate. I suspect he's a lot like Birch - in seeking out quality and value at bargain prices and that's more than likely why he's done so well.

I hope he's OK too - but when he does drop by it's usually at Birch's home so that's where to find him.

Wow ! Talk about Herd mentality :worried:

The AT is loaded with some higher ranks fleeing to G Fund.

I could easily wind up wishing I'd fled to G Fund but with all the weakness and substantial correction that's already been in play I still feel that there is plenty of room to go up.

At this point the upward momentum has barely started (if we are to have an upward momentum) - so time will tell. I still think it's a non logical/non sensible Market at play which is better than the term I normally give it. :embarrest::rolleyes:

So with over 2 weeks to go before the end of the month I'll hope for the best.

some punishment is healthy.

Hmmm... :toung:

Well I guess if you mean the Russian Spas...

Delaying - or stretching out a climax

Climbing that last little steep part for the ultimate view

Conquering some addiction

Maybe getting the ultimate massage...

and various things like that..... I would AGREE

Or perhaps you could say the good days can not be appreciated without comparing them to the bad days

On the whole, however, I'd say the punishment inflicted since 10/07 has been more than sufficient and we are long overdue for some good days to come.

At this point the only punishment I want to see is the punishment of 'losing out' for getting out too soon. ;):D:D

hey steady , who sings
GET YOUR MOTOR RUNNING , HEAD OUT ON THE HIGHWAY:

, LET YOU SING THIS DOWN THE HALLWAY BEFORE YOU HEAD HOME:D

That's pretty funny - as I've been working on a post for my Groove and Trip Pad - that kind of expresses the same thing.

BORN TO BE WILD - by SteppenWolfe

I honestly do BELIEVE we were meant to live life way 'Freer' 'Fuller' more 'Natural' - perhaps 'WILDER' but wilder in the ultimate sense that no one - absolutely NO ONE could put down.

Steady,
BT does not want this market to do anything crazy, like recover anytime soon. It'll mess up his master plan of accumulating a crap load of shares at discount prices. Not a bad plan either.

Ahhhh WOW man ! :embarrest: Thanks :o

Of course that makes perfect since - and now I totally see what he was saying. At the moment though I thought 'Wow what a strange comment to make'

Actually thought the Markets must be DIVING and Birch was simply letting everyone know 'It's cool with him cause he enjoys that s***' and was kind of making fun of everyone else.

I'm out of touch with looking for the bargain deal select stocks but I fully believe he knows what he's doing. Still with the general economy where it is right now there are bound to be a lot of really good deals for those who know how to find them. :D

Thanks again - as truely I was 'clueless' but not I'm enlightened

I'm more of a masochist - I'd rather receive the pain than dispense it. Often times in investing if you don't experience some pain you will never recognize your full potential. You simply have to learn to absorb pain and conquer fear or you'll always be ruled by emotion. No pain no gain - kinda like lifting heavy metal.

Well put my friend and that is exactly why I'm IN the GAME.

Ya see Birch - we need to take note of what happened in 3/09 and recognize these events are going to occur whether we like it or not. FEAR will have someone jump out at the first 'real gain'. I like to go with the odds and the overall picture. So if I exit at 10 or 15% it's only because I held on.

Of course it's possible I'll pee my pants in a few days and BAIL

The question is can you yet feel the anticipation of a better economic future on the horizon. If you can you must remember there is $12 trillion at your back and this money will crush anyone that steps outside the flow. SPX 1300 could come very quickly. It's time to show my entrepreneurial spirit and offer piles of sweet smelling superlative bull manure for sale. That Ferdinand is a jewel. And last but not least, China's manufacturing survey suggests its recovery is sustainable.
