Not much chatter on here pertaining to the "rally" today...

Where's everyone at???

I'm a "nightwalker" and when I went to bed around 10:45am, the Nas & SPX were up around 5 points. When I woke up around 3:00pm, they were still at the same levels then shot up after that.

To me, it seems folks were anxious to buy but were not going to be the first ones to step up to the plate. I wonder if that makes today a "sustainable" day and perhaps an indicator of what next week may bring?

It's been a rough couple weeks, so I hope to make up my losses and then some next week.

Good day on The Street. I've made up "my losses and then some".

The Naz is within 35.46 points of it's 2006 high set on Jan 11, and still has a little room to grow. The SPX is pretty well at a 5 year high, which may now be tested very soon. I'm not even focusing on the (I) since it's been too much of a beast lately.

It's too late for me to get out for Wednesday, but I may get out for Thursday depending on what Wednesday brings. I'll just have to set my alarm clock for around 11:30am (I work graves) to see where the market is at the time and make a decision.

Gotta go with my gut...

It's been a good run, and it may in fact be another UP day. But it's too early to tell at this point in time. My gut is telling me to lock in the gains and head on over to (G).

If it's a positive day, tomorrow will likely bring some profit taking. If it's a down day, tomorrow will probably be down too. So either way, I feel tomorrow will be negative. I just don't want to wake up this afternoon and see a HUGE sell-off. A little sell-off won't bother me, though. I just don't want to be selling on a HUGE one. So, effective Thursday:

Man... I set the DVR (DIRECTV) to record last night's "24" and "Prison Break" and the piece of junk crashed.

Perhaps I should dust off my trusty VCR...:cheesy:

I need my "24" and "Prison Break" fix to get through the week...:worried:

I don't C anything... YET

This past week or so, there's been a lot of "hoopla" surrounding the (C). But if you look at it's returns over the past week or so, they've been UP down UP down UP down.

Yesterday was yet another down day, and I'm sure today will follow-up with yet another UP day. It's the same repeat pattern. There doesn't seem to be any consistency in gains, and until I see some consistency I will stear clear of it.

The (C) will have its day in court, and when it does I intend on being "key witness", bearing in mind that GOOG will join the SPX after 31 Mar.

In the meantime, I will continue to live by the philosophy of my sig...

Or will the SPX finally enter "Base Leg" for its "Final Approach"?

Nevertheless, could simply be yet another "touch-n-go" day.

It will be more interesting once GOOG joins the gang. Next week will be the true test... beware.

Yeah, I'm on my day's off and trying to adjust to a dayshift schedule. I usually do that on my days off so I'm not so bored in the middle of the night.

BTW, I will be going TDY next Sunday for about 5 weeks through 17 May to Maxwell AFB, AL. (NCO Academy). So, my time on here MAY be limited.

Just so everyone knows in case I suddenly "disappear".

On Track

On track for the year... I beat the S&P 500 for the 1st quarter. No big deal, but it's the benchmark.

Some of you beat the Naz which was around 6%... congrats!
