Just guessing, I'd bet you've done well this month. Seems to me your jumping around was well timed not one day late.

Surfer... With all the traveling Pyriel is doing, I'm surprised he/she knows what day it is, much less when an IFT needs to be input before the noon EST deadline. I've done some traveling to Guam, Japan and the Phillipines and it's not easy to figure out what time it is here in the states when you're half way around the world.....

Tnx guys but trust me, its all luck... I really don't know what i'm doing. As for my move for Friday, I made a change and decided to stay in stocks for next week. I am changing my move from 100g (and giving up that penny this Monday) to 100s in hopes of more lucrative gains (speculative). I've looked at the July seasonality and the Independence day seasonality and they seem to be in green pasture for next week. I've also looked at 2004, 2005, and 2006 tsp rate and they seemed to agree with both seasonality. As far as economic data is concern, well I don't think that there are any reports that will trip the system and bring us down. Besides, if all else fails, I have ebb, 12%, Thunder, and the rest of you to give me a warning ahead of time. It just makes it harder due to my timezone.

Moving 100g before 1200 est Monday 2 July 07. I really want to stay in stocks for the whole week but all this terror alert is putting a damper on things. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I'm going to miss out with today's gains (Tuesday). However, I totally agree with 12% about the i fund for Thursday. I don't have the option of tracking the market on real time like when I was in NY last month. Currently sipping cafe mocha at Coffee Beanery here in the Philippines with my kids running around after eating sugary stuff;-)

This month and next month is not the time to be greedy. They are very volatile months. We should be seeing a see saw among all stocks and the buy and holder will either get pounded or receive minimal gains. I'm out until I see good buying opportunities. But i'm just speculating (as always). I will continue to jump in and out within the rest of the month but with caution.

I have no control between Nov-April. I was trying something out and that is to be fully invested in stocks. I am still committed to that but thinking of tweaking it. I didn't like the loss i received during Feb timeframe.

I'm finding out that the seasonality helps alot and never to stay stagnant during June, July, and August. It is better to jump around than to stay put within stocks. The gains are so minimal and loss could be significant. Due to my time zone, it makes sense for me to stay in stocks within those timeframes i mentioned since I get more sleep and rest (1200 est is 2 am here).

My yearly return projection is 8% and I feel that i'm a little bit ahead right now. If i could make it to 16% by the end of the year then i'll be so happy;-)

Moved in to 100s before 1200 est Wednesday. Economic data is not telling us much except for jobless report, international trade, and treasury budget. This is a one day move and Ebb's chart also has alot of influence with my decision here.

I lost 3 cents the last time i timed a jumped in to S fund. I hope that I can get that back today;-( I also jumped back out to the g fund to get ready for that penny. I was thinking about going 100i but I didn't want to be greedy. A few gains every now and then is better than having a loss every now and then.

Well, I am also researching scientology (Tom Cruise religion) to see if I could add a couple of % to my return. I hope that also pans out.

I feel like Chicken Little by telling everyone that the sky is falling which is why i jumped out of stocks today and went to safety. I am still looking for that piece of the sky.

On another note, I received my marching order to deploy to Afghanistan. My team will leave towards the end of November for training in Kansas before we head off to theater. I am now looking on how to manage my TSP by becoming a buy and holder for next year. Options are 100i, 30c30s40i, and 20c20c6i.

It's true!!!
I heard that once you join this religion you automatically receive an employee identification number (EIN) which allows you to deduct all expenditures that is scientifically related to your life.
Really, its true!!!

I changed my new allocation to jump in to 100i fund before 1200 est Thursday. If we get a positive climate for c&s for Thursday, i'm hoping that i fund will follow.
