Pyriel Account Talk

Grrr... No internet the last two days and couldn't jump back into stocks.... However seasonality is still with us so im jumping in for a day into the fire.

I was reading your real estate deals...nice going and keep up the great work.. Thank you for your service and your time defending this great country of ours. God Bless:)

Thnx 12%. And I also want to thank you for your very helpful input here in TSPTalk. Your opinion is valued most by those who are trying to learn. This site's value has grown tremendously due to people like yourself and others who tirelessly tries to educate people like me. Please keep it coming...;-)

As for my move to the g fund. This is part of my strategy for the next three months when seasonality isn't that great. I don't mind missing a big run up as long as i dont get hit with a big run down. So far, i've made my 8% quota for the year. Another two percent would be nice before the end of the year.

That second +FV last Friday messed up my plan with the I fund. Either way, i'm out to safety for a short time and will look at new buying opportunity for later.
P

I really want to stay in the I fund for the weekend but I have to stick with the plan. Went 100g before 1200 est Friday. Its better to get a percentage here and there rather than get caught in the crossfire.
P

Went 100i before 1200 est Wednesday. Ebb has the i on all green for Thursday. I'm hoping to get out by then. We'll see. This market is going to be a see saw for then next 3 months but i'll feel alot better if we get that small dip soon. Tnx

Hmmm... Didn't think so... Ebb doesn't really follow his ebb tracker flow. So his moves might be different from the ebbtracker flowchart.
I just hope that the -20FV will be enough to carry me though when i get out of the i fund tomorrow.
Just transferred to 100g for Thursday...

Pyriel: In a PM you sent me you referred to a book by an author named Decima (?). Can you tell me the name of the book?

Im sorry... The guy is Jay Decima. He is a good RE guy that puts his measurement in numbers. Very easy read and easy to follow book. You'll like it. Thanks...

I'm a little leery about staying fully stock funded for next week. Looking at the volatility and what is going to be presented next week; new home sales, current home sales, employment report and fomc announcement, I think I would wait and see and analyze whether its good to jump in or not. But then again, I really dont know what i'm doing.
P

I don't know about you guys but its getting pretty scary out there. I'm still thinking that there will be a pullback soon but the stocks just keep going up and down. FOMC rate will be announced on Thursday. Market usually goes down the day before that which is why i jumped in to 100s on Wednesday. I'll play it for a couple of days but i'll be 100g by 1200 est Friday. Good luck to all and pls dont follow me. I'm lost like a puppy...

BTW, Nnutt, can you please put up the seasonality for June (can't seem to find it) and for July. TY so much...

PY both are in Tom's Today's Comments (Short Term Outlook) on the main page if you page down.
How many hours difference from Guam to Eastern time?

I'm currently in Newark Airport waiting for my flight to Tokyo. I was in Syracuse for a month. The difference is 16 hours between Guam and EST. Once I get to Guam, I won't be able to jump in and out as much since 2:00 am is equivalent to EST here;-(.

Tnx..

From your account thread:
100s before 1200 est Wednesday 6/27/07.
100i before 1200 est Thursday 6/28/07.
100g before 1200 est Friday 6/29/07.

Pyriel,
If the USM rallies Thursday afternoon after the Fed meeting, Barclays may let the FV roll and not apply the FVC until COB Friday. If that theory happens you would be buying the I - fund .65% higher at COB Thursday. Lately Barclays has been trying to burn us with the FV. You have been doing great with your TSP account this year but I know that your cash on cash return in much higher in RE.:D

Grrrr... First of all, it seems like im one day late with my moves. I still believe that stocks would continue its pace tomorrow. I'm in Tokyo now and will be back on Guam tonight so I'll make my decision whether to stay in S fund or jump in to the i fund (i hate those fv's). Additionally, that seasonality for July is making me rethink of my move to the g fund on Friday. I checked the 2004-2006 stocks prices and they seemed to be in congruent with the seasonality as well.

Saturday, i'll be in the Philippines, then heading to Arkansas Next Saturday. I'm already getting confused with these time zones.

Just guessing, I'd bet you've done well this month. Seems to me your jumping around was well timed not one day late.
