A MELT DOWN ON THE NIKKEI -592.39 -3.99% AS I TYPE.

Yeah... I've already high tailed it.:p

I should have already when I dropped to my target price.

Just when you thought it couldn't go any lower...

Terrible news for those weathering the I-Fund storm; just terrible.

Yep...

This past month will take the rest of the year to recover from, I'm sure.

BUT, now that I already threw in the towel on the (I), you all had better jump in!:D You know the nature of the beast, once you bail it turns around.:p

The bad news: I-fund is going to get whalloped today. Foriegn markets down 2-3%, but at least the dollar is up only slightly.

The optimistic news: After today the I-fund should be near long term resistance. See attached graph. The green mark at the end is my estimated position after today ($17.90). As you can see the I-fund will be very near the bottom of the long term trough.

I've been riding it out and feeling sick. I'm too afraid to stay in any longer. I know that today will be the worst drop so far, but I'm getting out anyway. It just seems there is no end to the free fall.

Learn to read your own sentiment. Do you feel the fear? We could open lower today, but it's not a time to sell if you've taken the losses, in my opinion. But do what you are more comfortable doing. I'm just saying...

Good luck!

Good point. Every time I make a decision like this (out of emotion), it messes me up. Maybe today is just the final shake off before the bull run. (I've been reading too much of Birchtree's posts!)

The question will be, what do you do if we see a short term rally? Plan now so you won't have an emotional decision to make in the middle of a 3% plus rally. Like you said, your emotions won't make the same call as a thought out decison.

The EFA has now broke into the high 50's....going as planned right Trigger........;) Gotta go round up them steers......all them bulls seem to have jumped to their end.....maybe some new ones will show up and take their place........:notrust:

No BS!!

Looks like I fund will be down at least 3% today!
In its local currency it is down 2.876%
With the rise of the dollar, we'll be losing more than that.

Great visual aid above. We haven't seen an I-Fund consecutive month dive like this since 2001 (-22.44%), & 2002 (-24.87%). These drops can temporarily flatten your wallets & purses folks. On the flip side, they are tremendous money making opportunities if you do your homework. Since 2001, the I-Fund has never had an end-of-month negative return for more than 5 months in a row. The other two runs were four months strait.

I bailed from (I) to (S) because I now feel that (S) has more to gain... plus I'll possibly get more shares for my $$$.:D
