Playing the I fund

I meant, could he use some fancy web page programming to calculate for us... never hurts to ask:D

I usually cheat and just use the dollar index. I don't have time to look up all the actual values and put them in a spreadsheet. I posted my quicky calculation a while back.

I've thought about doing this too. Except, I don't know anything about web page programing. If I can get my spread sheet to go out and get all the required data automactically, I 'd have more time to think about the market.:D

Sorry FundSurfer. I misunderstood the second question. No I can't. I am usually at work and I can't update the website from work or post anything on this board. Also, the truth is we have an excellent team (including yourself) of board members who are getting excellent results calculating the I-Fund. We just need someone that consistently would post his/her estimates sometime between 11:30-11:45 am. If it is done after 12:00 noon it does not help much to make an educated IFT.

What do you folks think- is "I" still a good play for the next couple days? I missed the broad jump yesterday by a number of you into "I" by the noon deadline- I wasn't watching close enough. Am thinking of moving at least some into "I" today.

General consensus- "I" still a good bet for the next seven days?

I figured this was the case. It could be done by writing a routing if you could get the right numbers. Like you, my time is limited which is why I use my quickie estimate. Thanks for the page, it is now among my favorites.

I just moved 10% into "I".

Had been 100% "S" since 11/06, and now moved 10% into "I" and 10% into "F".

Overall the markets still seem solid- and I'm watching for any signs of a major change. So far, nothing points elsewhere that to be in right now.

So how long before those on the sidelines finally throw in the towell and join us in the water?

hey Tom- are you still thinking we'll get back to July levels anytime soon?

It has been acting up lately. I don't think the 'usual' update is until 2:30-3pm ET.

If you click on the calendar and go to the current date, and it comes up with a chart showing all N/A's then it usually updates by 3:00, if it defaults back to today's date (as it is today), then it's more problematic.
