PARIS, Nov 14 (Reuters) - Telecoms pushed European shares marginally higher on Tuesday after Vodafone (VOD.L: Quote, Profile, Research) and Telefonica (TEF.MC: Quote, Profile, Research) published robust earnings, but caution ahead of crucial U.S. economic reports put a leash on market gains.
Upbeat earnings updates from Telekom Austria (TELA.VI: Quote, Profile, Research) and InterContinental Hotels (IHG.L: Quote, Profile, Research), a rebound in mining stocks despite a fresh dip in base metals prices, and oil prices stable below $59 a barrel all contributed to fuel market gains.

At Bloomberg TV, George Miller, Suntrust Bank is being interviewed. He opines that PPI will drop and core will be flat -- this would bore well for the FED to stay on hold next time around. Any other views regarding what will happen with the other economic numbers? This is expiration week. What is to be expected by expiration?

Good morning Show! -

Thanks for the link. It contains good stats. I am making good use of the links that you posted the other day, including the pre-market CNNMoney site which I keep watching. I also use the lafter hours and US market pages it offers. Enjoy you coffee, and great trading day to all! -

at the bottom of the page.

In the market charts the numbers in parenthesis are their weights in the I-Fund. I use these numbers to estimate the I-Fund price. I compute it from 11:45 am - 11:45 am.

Great page! This makes me think that we need to start a new thread and everyone list the links they use weekly.

I didn't get the 11:45 am - 11.45 am part. Does this mean 11:45 am one day to the next? Why 11:45 am and not noon?

One more question: Could you get the current values and use the weights to calculate the proper dollar weight for EAFE?

Inflation data under control. Euro and YEN rising against the USD on expectations that further rate hikes there are forthcoming, and expectations for the FED to stay put. PPI down.

US futures are up. Europe had been down, but now seems to be recovering. I suppose that a good performance in the US stockmarket will strengthen the OSM. Then we would have to make an educated guess regarding the application of the Fair Value (FV) thing! Now Bloomberg comes out with some UK news regarding potential terorist plans -- I didn't get all the news, but keep an eye on terrorism as a negative market potential. Let's hope it's only a rumor.

I can answer this one: Yes! That's how I've been doing it. I thought you and Gilligan were doing it also.:D

I meant, could he use some fancy web page programming to calculate for us... never hurts to ask:D

I usually cheat and just use the dollar index. I don't have time to look up all the actual values and put them in a spreadsheet. I posted my quicky calculation a while back.

Yes. it means 11:45 am one day to the next trading day. The reason for 11:45 is because the IFT needs to be done before noon (EST). Yes to the second question.

Good luck and have a great day.
