oleg850's Account Talk

I'll admit I didn't get the best entry on this trade, but that's just the nature of this game from time to time. The PM indicators that I track are showing more accelerated selling on the down drafts than what we have seen in recent months, which to me is indicative of capitulation. I agree with you that we may be near an intermediate term bottom. I still have a 3 week time horizon on this trade before I'll consider an exit strategy. Currently down around 13% from my DCA price, which we both know can be made up in one day with this ETF.

NUGT/DUST is not for the faint of heart. The moves can be dramatic, and can turn on a dime.

Wishing you success on your trade. I believe the tides will be turning in your favor shortly.

System Update:

Indicator system remains short. I continue to hold SPXU from $17.45, and an additional lot from $16.65.

Trending system remains long. I own SSO. The stops remain unchanged from last week's numbers.

System Update:

After a lot of back and forth towards the close, my indicator system moves to CASH. I will exit my SPXU position for a 4% loss.

The Trending System remains long (I'm holding SSO) pursuant to last week's designated stops for SPY/IWM.

System Update:

Indicator system moves back to CASH after a quick 1 day trade for a very nominal profit.

Trending System remains LONG.

Sold 25% of my NUGT position at $30 for 11% profit. Will hold remaining 75% position for $38 (subject to change, of course ;))

I'll buy my 25% position back at $26.50, if it makes it down there. Otherwise, still holding the remaining 75% for $38.

Bought back my 25% NUGT lot for $26 while I was sleeping. Gotta love IB and their great fills! Will set a sell limit order for $30 on this portion.

System Update:

Trending System got stopped out of its SPY position. I got stopped out of SSO (2X SPY) for a small loss of 2.4%. Market is beginning to look weak in the knees.

Indicator System remains in CASH.

Oleg, you figure this $25ish number in NUGT is going to hold? I bought in at $34.

You have to position yourself to scale in on these trades, as they don't always go in the preferred direction right away. Buying only once and holding till break even can be painful. Don't forget this sucker was $70+ not even 3 months ago. I'm giving this trade 2 more weeks before heading towards the exit.

Sold 25% of my NUGT position at $27.50 from $26 entry for a quick 6% profit. Holding remaining 75% into next week. I am now at break even for the overall trade. Too much day trading going on to make easy swing trades. The big boys are not holding their positions past day's end.

Agree, the sell off now starts again... and now its a week-end, probably will be a bigger sell off since they don't want to hold over the week-end!! :(
