Getting to the Grudge match stage - took 2hrs 15 Min on phone to reach 1st person - admitted their system was giving them (Helpdesk) problems - referred to "Supervisor" and on hold again - so far at 3.5 hrs mostly listening to the music....
Would really like/need to be doing other things.

Gave up after 5hrs and 15 minutes on hold - Past Grudge stage now - will need the weekend to recover to point of trying to get in again....
There should be a formal complaint method - there is no means for people to get in reliably - you could never do this on the civilian side - there would be litigation for sure. This is likely costing some people money since they can't update their allocations.
How about a poll on whether people could get in or not, or haven't tried. It would be interesting to see where most members are:eek:

Thanks. FYI, regarding your final FERS Supplement payment, I called OPM recently to verify this...since the monthly payments are paid in arrears, your final FERS Supplement payment will come with your OPM deposit on the first day of September.
In my case my final FERS supplement will come with my July 1st OPM annuity deposit, so I'll want to make the TSP change in August due to the shift of the TSP monthly installment payments. I assume you got the TSP letter in April telling everyone that all TSP monthly installment payments will be made on the 15th of every month starting this month. That sucks since I was very careful to time my monthly payments to come on the first of the month. I like having all money coming in early in the month, and going out late in the month. Leave it to the TSP to screw that up, but I can live with the middle of the month. When I eventually start collecting SS I think that will come during the 3rd week of each month (it's based on what day of the month you are born). The weird thing in my case is that I think I'll get two payments in June basically. The one I would have gotten on June 1st came early on 5/23 (as they'd forewarned in the letter, they sent them early due to the shutdown) since as far as they're concerned the payment date is on the 31st each month (but my bank doesn't get it until the 1st of the following month). So now the one I would have received on July 1st (but with a 6/30 payment date) will come on 6/15, I think, we'll see, I'm confused...
One good thing is that this shift in the TSP installment payments to the 15th will fix the problem where I wasn't getting any TSP installment payment at all in January each year, and I'd get two in December. I think they did that for tax reasons. Now they should come every month on the 15th.

I retired at the end of December and I started taking monthly withdrawals from my account in March.
I created my new logon for TSP and when I checked my Payment Activity there wasn't any record of past payments to me.
Is anyone else having this experience?
I also went onto the withdrawal part of the new Website to see if I could set up withdrawals and I could, ( I did not complete the transaction because I wasn't allowed to change how much Federal Tax was withheld) even though the instructions indicate that is possible. Anyone have that experience?
I called the TSP Help line (waited 2 hours on Hold) and the lady altough pleasant could not really help. She stated that all the information from the other website probably hasn't transfered and to call back next week
I will probably wait until the 15th of June to see if the withdrawal that I originally set up hits my account.

I registered with the new login the first day. It worked for a while except for broken links (like no balance history, to name one, and no way to change security data for another). I tried logging in the next day, and it failed. I started over with the new login registration page, which was OK with me because I wanted a different UserId. That worked except it said my email address was in use. I got around that by using a different address, then correcting it once I was logged in again. Now, two days later, my log in fails again. What is going on, besides this being a government web page? In the real world the old page would be kept up until the new page was ready, AND THIS WEB PAGE IS NOT READY! :(

I wouldn't be surprised that while they have you on hold listening to elevator music, they're searching for a new job.

FYI,
I was able to set up my new account yesterday, June 2.
But I can't perform interfund transfer ('change investments'). When I click on 'get started', I get a message 'The information that usually appears here is currently unavailable'.

Also, while my primary beneficiary information correctly got transferred over, my contingent beneficiary info disappeared.

I would like to add the I made an IFT this morning 6/3/22 before 0900 California time and my confirmation e-mail said it will on 6/6/22

After I input all of the information to obtain a new TSP logon I get a blank page with a TSP banner at the top and THEN I get an alert from Mastercard of suspected fraudulent activity, so TSP is apparently verifying identify via a credit reporting service. Bottom line is after five attempts at setting up a new account they are all failures. This is unacceptable and TSP board needs to get off their asses and fix this with all hands on deck working the phones 24/7 to assist people with the new logon. If this were Edward Jones of Schwab it would be fixed in an hour. WTF is wrong with this outfit?

That's not good. How much before 0900 - do you remember? The old way it seemed it was iffy if you made the IFT within a couple of minutes of the deadline.

No past history for me as well, prior to May 2022 - nothing from 2009 to May 2022..... nada....

Let's hope they are still tweaking it and will '
EVENTUALLY' roll over our 'OLD' account data into our 'NEW' login account.....

Fingers crossed on your payment efforts...

spot on, spot on....

Well, at least they will have the bugs worked out (BY US) before they send out a mass email saying it is turned back on.

(Sarcasm).

A little bit of improvement each day, and, within a year or two, they should have it worked out.

I swear- the next time “they” decide to make major changes, I’m going to call the Thrift Board and demand they hire the TSPTALK experts to be their beta testers in advance.

This is absolutely horrible.

NOT ready for prime time.

Multiple broken links;
No way to find share prices
Difficulty in trying to set up an interfund transfer.
Looks like it was made by someone who has NO IDEA how and what users need.

Who the F gave them the design requirements? Who coded this?

The instant message function does not work.
I'm going to take a walk for a while and cool down.

I am not a happy camper.

Yes. And were you able to see your past years worth of data...???

Interfund Transfer function still unavailable for my account. I just checked. Still getting 'The information that usually appears here is currently unavailable'.
It's been 11 days since the conversion. I wish they would at least provide us with updates as to when the full services will be restored. That would save me a phone call and time.

I set up account. Can’t get any statements. Loan available (not interested) is much lower now? Weird. Did they change that up or is stuff not accurate? It’s hard to trust this now.

Really only have info from may 26 - current. Looks pretty awful. Haven’t tried an ift yet.

Looking at the investment stock tickers. Trading view doesn't recognize them. Is there another website I can type the ticker in to observe price action?

I tried setting up my account over the thrift line phone menu this weekend and it said it couldn't because there are no representatives on hand.
The webpage was no better. I ended up on a page that said they would have to snail mail me a one time use code that could take up to two weeks.
Couldn't they at least keep the old web site or phone menu up until the new one works.

If anyone was contemplating whether to stick with TSP after retirement this pretty much answered that question.

I ended up in the exact same situation. The system would not attach my phone number, which had been long associated with my account. I clicked the continue button and got a page saying an access code would be snail mailed to me and it would take several weeks.
I've been calling the TSP phone line for 3 days now and have never gotten through. Plus the phone line is giving false wait times. They couldn't even get that right.
I have a medical need to withdraw some funds and it's just hopeless.
I called the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board at 202 942-1600. They try to steer you away if it's about your TSP account, but what I wanted to know from them is how to file a grievance against TSP. But, not surprisingly, their phone line is backed up too! I left a message.
I don't know how TSP restores trust after this?
