nasa1974's Account Talk

Had a pretty good jump in the tracker yesterday. All those 100% S funders are going to catch up after today.:D That will make tomorrow interesting.

Well buy and hold S has proven to be profitable in the recent pass and what could be easier make one IFT for the year and go play golf.:D

But I am not taking the chance that 2011 is a repeat of 2010.

FAB, I'm with you on that go play golf.

I finished pretty good in 2010 but I do not want to repeat the May and June fiasco.

Today was definitely a sizable BITE to early-in-the-year gains.

Now the question is will it go deeper, and will that be after a early bounce next week?

Well, according to the business section in this mornings paper the sell off yesterday was do to what was happening over in Egypt. At least that may be the excuse that is being used.:D

The snow is supposed to let up later so I will be out shoveling the driveway. Have a great weekend everybody.

Nevermind that.

Psst...Buy and Hold 40% C, 60% I - & gain from the big caps rally thats coming, sshh its a secret. snort.:D

-are you serious? -or are you doing a BT imitation? I need some serious help here !!!
I have to replace the amount drawn out for my monthly
retired check... not that it is any big amount

Well round one has come and gone. I had 5-6 inches of snow this morning. I was able to get the driveway all cleaned up because I had a 10am doctor's appointment. Glad I didn't have to drive in the real nasty stuff. Round two on it's way. Might get a day off from work and not have to take any leave. :D

What a way to start February. I guess the market likes what is going on in Egypt. :suspicious:

Stay safe and warm everyone.

Well round two started about a half hour ago. At least a quarter inch of sleet on the ground already. Sure hope we do not get the freezing rain. Stay warm and dry everybody. :D

We're set to break the February all-time (1939) record low of -6 out here in the Rio Grande valley, -2 tonight and -10 tomorrow night, and winds up to 35 mph with blowing snow for the frosting on the cake. Brrrr. At least all the government offices shut down today and maybe tomorrow too.

If it gets below -8 it will be the second coldest cold snap here ever, well, since Birchtree invented the thermometer anyway....you know, that thermometer that only goes up. :D

Home today. They closed the lab. Power outages all over the place because of the ice build-up overnight. Some ice up to an inch thick. I do not have it that bad. Had a high of 40 at 6am, by 8am it had fallen to the upper 20's. I can't shovel the driveway because everything is frozen. Calling for the mid-teens late this afternoon with wind chills in the single digits.

We're up to +1, above zero! And the wind has died down to only 25-35 mph. But hey, at least it's a "dry cold" here. :) There will be a lot of stranded people with dead car batteries today. I stayed home.

Transports are down about 1%, the divergence warning continues. There should be another push higher starting soon though.

Alright you guys.
Enough of the talk, let's see some PICTURES!
Not all of us are lucky enough to get to stay home because of a weather event! :D
