nasa1974's Account Talk

Just went back to the tracker to look at something. There are 63 folks sitting at 2.46% on the tracker and to be fair Tom has them listed alphabetical. vegasmith is at 2.43% and I am at 2.41% with a whole lot of folks close behind.
Technically everyone at 2.46% are all tied for #26 on the tracker. So that makes vegasmith #27 and me #28. WOO! HOO! :suspicious::notrust::blink::nuts:

Its a nice neighborhood. Wish I was there:D

Yesterdays numbers threw me out into the burbs. Down to #123 on the tracker (technically tied for #58 :D). If I am lucky after todays numbers I might move up 15 spots or so.
HB, it's fun to play the game but your spot on the tracker is not really important, it is being on the positive side of zero. And that you are my friend. You will make you move soon enough.

I'm currently #348 on the tracker with a gain of 1.66%. I'm waiting for you to move to the I fund so I can move ahead.:D

Going to be an interesting week. Asian and European stocks looked terrible yesterday but have rallied today. What will the C & S funds do today? Throw on the sticky pants if you haven't already it looks like it is going to be quite a ride. Good luck everyone.

Man, yesterday was not a good day. Not only did my account take a hit , I fell from 96 to 207 on the tracker :(. But the worst of it was my "account" ended up on the second page .

DANG!!

All the funds are showing green. Fingers crossed. It would be nice to recover some of the losses over the last two days. Good luck everyone.

I'mmmmm back!! From the second page that is. :D

WOO! HOO! I earned a whole .05% yesterday. Positive is positive.

So what will the market do after yesterdays "State of the Union"?

Good luck to day everyone. Europe looks pretty strong this morning.

Our friendly FRTIB still hasn't posted the meeting minutes from December 2010. Now that they have had their January meeting I hope it will be posted soon. A soon as I notice it I will post it .

Had a pretty good jump in the tracker yesterday. All those 100% S funders are going to catch up after today.:D That will make tomorrow interesting.

Analysis: Time for a fresh look at the federal pay system

By Howard Risher January 27, 2011

"While conservative analysts continue seeking to prove federal employees are overpaid, President Obama's State of the Union speech opened the door to a broader need to rethink the General Schedule salary system. In the speech, Obama mentioned federal pay only in passing, but the proposed five-year freeze on nondefense discretionary spending and the restructuring of government would, if enacted, trigger a need for a pay system more flexible than the GS grid."
