nasa1974's Account Talk

Almost halfway through May and the I fund has lost $1.00 per share, S fund has lost $0.32, C fund has lost $0.33 and the F fund has gained $0.04.

Early indication is that today will take back almost everything that Moday gave us.

I think when we stepped into the Matrix we swallowed the wrong pill. :D

Well Friday didn't fold as bad as it looked like it could. Thanks to Monday's big surge I finished on the positive side for the week. MTD I am not doing very good and YTD I am still positive but mostly do to my bi-monthly deposits.

Not sure what will happen today. Not a whole lot of good news out there. So far this morning Asia was down but Europe was in the green at least a little. Going to be a rough day. Good luck everyone.

Kind of hope we can recover a little bit this week. Next week I will be out of town and will not be able to follow what is going on as closely as I would like. I was planning on pulling some shares back to the lily pad late this week or early next week to reduce my risk. Tough week ahead. :worried:

May 14th was the 3rd Friday in a row and 4th out of the last 5 that I made a <1% move in my <1% vs. "buy & hold" spreadsheet. Sure hope this is not a pattern setting up. Last week ended on the positive side only because of Monday's huge numbers.

Yesterday was painful to watch as the markets tried to drain the life out of us. Up early and the the big drop around noon then struggle to rise back to some kind of positive finish.

So what will happen today? The 64,000 dollar question. Right now CNNMoney shows the key Asian markets closing green and some of the key European markets in the green. But will that relate to a positive day for us? Hang in there folks it is going to be another interesting day.

Good luck.

The last time May was this bad was 2006. We have a week and a half to try and recover some of the losses. OK, what are the odds?

Well the C fund might recover today. Hit a low of 1105.66 and is bouncing between 1110 and 1115. Not so sure about the S fund. It hit a low of 555.67 and is bouncing between 556 and 558. Not looking forward to the summer trading doldrums. May is going to take away everything I gained February through April. DANG!!!

Good luck everyone, we are going to need it.

It is official. Yesterday’s close has dropped me BELOW what I started 2010 with.

My high point for 2010 was 4/23. Since then I have lost just over 12%.
