I couldn't tell you a dam thing about who Devin Townsend is or anything he's ever done, but I see write-ups on him on Blabbermouth and other rock / metal sites. There was just one the other day, and I started to think "Who the hell IS this guy"???? So I started researching some of his stuff.
The vid below is old, but I like it for several reasons:
The sound mix is really good as is the video and camera angles. The sound is huge and fat, almost like an orchestra at times.
Love the stage set-up with the screens in the back and the lighting.
The Band is having fun, and the crowd is loving every minute of it.
Devin seems to be connected to the crowd as you see him talking to them and smiling as he plays.
This is an anthem of sorts, but I have no idea what the songs about. It brings you up and drops you down in the middle, only to bring you up for a great finish.
