Dug this up from 2012. (I'll try and keep this short) LOL
Linda Perry has written some amazing songs and given them to some amazing performers, and they've become chart topping hits. (Pink, Christina Aguilera, etc....)
Not this one though...... "Letter to God" was given to Courtney Love / HOLE, and they BUTCHERED it so bad that it was RUINED from the word GO. It had no chance at all. Horrible rendition.
Then Linda performs it on a talk show with just piano, strings, and a small children's choir, and it brings everyone to tears. Sharon Osborne can barely get it together to close out the segment.
It's a pretty powerful performance.
I don't think Linda ever recorded this song herself, and this is the best vid quality I could find. You'll need to turn the volume up a bit. The audio quality is "okay" I guess. Could be better, but there's nothing else out there.
