Any Drummers out there ? ? ? ?
Even if your not, this is just so cool to watch. It's an old clip. I miss going to shows like this. Sad to say, I'm not sure that giant arena shows packed with people will ever happen any time soon.
Shannon Larkin (the drummer on the right) is from my area. I used to go see him play in small clubs in his first band Wrathchild America. Super nice guy !!
Full Screen and Crank it UP !!! \m/ \m/

Whoa thar! Another great video. Loved sampling of Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin and Rush! I was thinking of Rush at beginning. :D

She is SO intense with her vocals. There's the real deal and then there are imitators. She's the real deal. She's also trippin on sumthin..... lol
She calls in Doc (guitar) too early for his solo, and later she skips ahead with her vocals throwing the band out of step, but they cover for her both times while looking at each other and smiling as though they were expecting it. They watch each other and they watch her to make sure the song doesn't get screwed up.......ha ha ha
Do you like Woodstock, Flower Power, Peace and Love, and Humble Pie???? Well you'll like this then. You'll be applauding your monitor at the end.
Full Screen / Full Volume and 2 shots of Tequila...........

Obscure Factoid. Ian Gillan (Deep Purple Singer) played Jesus on the Original 1970 JC Superstar Album.
Full Album HERE >>>>>>>>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmI-irBrqUo&list=OLAK5uy_l0QwPnY1MR21fgalcpYVAq6nqcFboUNm0

"Taken from Ian Gillan Official Site(facebook). Truly an unique and rare video, i've never seen it before."
The two screams he does in this song are amazing. He crushes it !!!
He's great all throughout the album (2 album set), especially towards the end. Greatest voice ever.
The performers on the original 1970 version are the BEST. Any other version done by anyone else doesn't even compare.

Ian Gillan ...Greatest voice ever.

That would be an interesting debate -- greatest male voices. I never would have have thought of Ian, but yeah, great voice. We'd need a separate category for female singers because there are so many good ones.

I'll throw out these as candidates - not so much most popular, etc., but great voices. There will probably be some great names brought up that we've forgotten about.

Van Morrison - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syIUmrSJWAU

Harry Nilsson - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-ZDKirjQgM

There's a really good documentary on Amazon Prime on Nilsson (Who is Harry Nilsson (And Why is Everyone Talking About Him)). He was a wild, live fast, die young, kind of guy.

Yeah, that would be a huge debate right there. I guess I should have said "One of my vocal Hero's growing up". That would have been more accurate.
All my friends back in the day were way older than me, so they were all into Hendrix, Joplin, Deep Purple, Uria Heep, Humble Pie, Mountain, Faces, Zeppelin, Sabbath ect.....
I started singing around early high school days, so those bands were the ones that inspired me. Was in a few local bands playing clubs back when the tri-state area MD., Va., DC.(especially Baltimore) had a pretty good music scene.
I tend to like a vocalist (Male or Female) with great range and can transition nice and smooth when going from one extreme to the other. Also a screamer who has good control along with some rasp to their voice. There's a few other factors and also stuff I don't like, but that's a start, and it's just my personnel taste.
Last I heard, the Raleigh, NC area was a pretty hot spot for music (Rock-N-Roll) until Covid put the brakes on everything. A drummer from one of the bands I was in lives down there and is still jammin and playin clubs. \m/ \m/
