JTH's Account Talk

WHAT MONTH IS IT?!?!

Generally, it is advisable to let your IRAs grow Long-term into your retirement, because you can grow your nest-egg by dollar-cost-averaging. However, you have to determine if your age and income or investment horizon is appropriate. In any event, if you look at your investments as a pool of different assets, the residential loan is a separate investment that ensures a decent roof over your head for you and your family. A homestead deduction is probably available to you, as your home. Good luck!

This will be the 3rd day in a row my F-Fund play has banked me some coin...

Honestly this market is so volatile. Looking at Yahoo's VIX it's no surprise the F fund is booming. The market has been all over the place in not only intra-day trading but on the close.

More of the same.

Keep an eye on TZA (the inverse small cap ETF) if it breaks above 15.85 with volume conviction, then I'd expect the markets to breakdown. Until that time, IMHO the right thing within TSP is to hold the position you're in.

Adding to today's earlier post, it looks like 15.95 is the new line in the sand, take notice of the W-pattern

I planned on IFT'ing back into the S-Fund on Friday but I may do that today (dependent on this morning's price action.)

Whew... glad to know I'm getting in sync :) ; I jumped in yesterday based on the dowside action and some indicators on DBAs chart links that it might be near a bottom.

After being destroyed by the S fund the last week, I decided to spread my love around. I still wish I had put in my AT tracker the day I actually did my last trade, because it makes a difference of 2%.

20 - F
30 - S
25 - C
25- I

Pushing the line in the sand (support) to 16.31 with resistance @ 16.77 I'd watch these levels for inverse confirmation of market direction.

Beautifully oversold NASDAQ 100 with a 3rd touch of the 6-Mth trendline and 3rd touch of the 100 SMA. Take notice of what happened the previous 2 times price hit this SMA (yellow circles.) Also take notice this trendline & SMA are in the same area (bonus points.) This is a great place to look for an oversold bounce but I wouldn't hang out too long.

Yup, I really think the markets are oversold on a short term basis here and due for a bounce. If it doesn't bounce, we're in trouble.

JT, Jumping in today?

Nope, I'm outperforming the CSI Funds, I see no need to risk it. Most of my calculations are based on end of day prices, so we'll see what things look like at the end of the day.

I may have a busy morning tomorrow, so I'll go ahead and put in my IFT now. I am not calling the bottom here, this is more of an oversold bounce play, if for some reason the markets don't meet my expectations then I'll cancel the IFT.

Wow, mighty brave of ya. Ladies and gents, here's a man of confidence. If you get it right, you'll time it perfectly. Personally, I'm out of bullets until Tuesday.

JTH,

What price or indication would make you cancel the FIT before the deadline?
