Re: WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE - don't ya just luv roller-coasters?

Now that is pretty cool, clester. good for you. Mentally I'm getting more interested in retirement all the time, age and retirement funds aren't there yet. Starting to think seriously what I could be doing in post-retirement years as second career and where, especially if retirement comes early and involuntarily.

The nice thing, is that now that I have a baseline of income and can live on it, i can peruse whatever strikes my fancy. I was going to try teaching high school but with all the extra requirements and dealing with student behavior was too much work. I almost finished a master of education degree but I found I enjoy going to school, not teaching. Who knows where I will end up.

Heh Heh Don't need glasses(I took the lenseses out)....don't need smarts....don't need to please anyone but myself at this stage. Can use poor grammer...fart when I need to...without excuse...lurk on this board and laugh....and just plain enjoy life. You'll love it someday. Grow old enough to retire!

Lobo :)

At the rate I'm going, maybe I'll make it by the time I'm 115.

This is a tough market with this wide-ranging intraday price action. Let's be honest here, we see lower swing lows and lower swing highs, and we're at the top of a 6-month decesending parallel price channel. this isn't what I'd call the ideal setup. I'm wanting some lower prices before a re-entry, not sure if I'll get what I want...

i am waiting for the same. may have to get in before my tarket S fund Share price of 19.50 or lower. but if the seasonality and Christmas ralley plays out it should be fine. just my thoughts and only thoughts

The charts suggest to me the next bottom is still a few days away, be careful what you ask for, you just might get it, yet still not want it...

It's a tough area to trade, you'll either be really right or really wrong, with not much room for much else.

Re: WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE - don't ya just luv roller-coasters?

I would really like to be in this market but am having a difficult time gathering compelling evidence to support an entry. The long-term damage is clearly visable, this is a fade the rally market where cash preservation is the priorty. After having said all that, I may still make a short-term entry into these markets this week, problem is some of my timing models are telling me we aren't there yet.

Just a couple more days buddy whatch for confirmation of any up move. Buy sell short says Dec 18 is normally when the up move starts if it happens. He's quite mad at the market being over reactive to news.

If you plan on it and have not done it today, your "short-term" is going to include the weekend. ;)

You are correct, but by short-term I mean 3-10 days, not a scalp like I'm known for.

have you found your MOJO?

I haven't been around in awhile; mainly I just wanted to change the WHEEEEE title which I put on your thread this summer, bcz no, I don't like roller-coasters and have been beat to sh!t by them this year. It's driving me crazy.

But a few more things, one, it seems your back on track no? Have you rediscovered your (IFT trading) MOJO? Second, have timing models become less useful due to headline trading (mainly, on Europe, but also some projections of lags/slowdowns elsewhere - such as China).

Re: have you found your MOJO?

Sorry for the delay, I'm going to camp out in the F-Fund until I can find the right moment to jump in. I did originally mean to jump in on Monday, but lost track of time and missed the deadline, so I'm sort of stuck until the next opportunity comes along. If I did have mojo, I'll need to prove it once again, you're only as good as your last trade. Within the TSP realm I don't fair with volatile prices, over the last quarter the intraday price swings have been unexpected. I don't factor in news-related events, I find prices tend to gravitate to their proper place within the charts.

It's been some time since I've posted a chart, so I thought I'd share some thoughts on current prices within the 6-month time-frame. If the S&P 500 can break through and confirm several closes above the currently merging 200SMA & descending upper red channel, then we have a decent shot at 1375-1475 based on the 0A* Symmetrical Triangle. However, if the pattern breaks out to the downside, then we should test the lows at 1100-1000.

If I can achieve SPX 1475 I'll need a larger wheel barrow to carry around all my superlative bull manure.
