JTH's Account Talk

Siegel says he thinks the bond market is grossly overvalued. I must admire your courage running into a burning building. Not something I would do.

Thank you for mentioning that. It does look like the F fund isn't that great of an option either. I changed to G fund real fast. When you are sitting in a hole as big as mine I guess it may be a good choice to start being a little more cautious. I still have an IFT left so I am good to go if we find a good time this month to jump back in.

Well Mon, I got out today but that Closing price she really suxed and I needed a positive close. But the somabeetch cant decide to stay up or down for very long and were all getting chart see-sickness. This is one Tough Bear Id like to forget ASAP. So I am in G with one more shot at glory in RED October.

But you can lose money in the F fund too. Been there and done that recently.

Re: WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE - don't ya just luv roller-coasters?

Forgot to tell everyone I bought back into SIRI at 1.64, here's the old chart from Monday. I didn't catch the low for the day, can't getem all.

Sold @ 1.73

Hey JTH,
Everyone seems to be running from bear to bull quite fast. I've been burned before for that optimistic attitude. Don't want to miss out on the run though. What do you think?

Re: WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE - don't ya just luv roller-coasters?

It looks like I missed one hell of a rally, my 2.73% pales in comparison to what some folks made last month. I haven't watched a video, read a blog, and scarcely looked at a chart last month, can somebody send me the cliff notes?

He's back!!! Well I am losing all of my gains from that rally...sucks.

After 5 months of losses, the market went up in October without many of us. I locked in a 3% gain myself on Oct and felt good about it, until... boom!)

Now that we have some Nov IFT's and can get back in, the markey is trying to scare us and keep us out.

That's about it. :D

Thanks for the head-up, I've been knee deep in school and work, I wish I could say I miss watching the stock market every second, but I don't due to my lack luster performance as of late. These wild intraday swings are stressful under TSP conditions, sometimes it better just to turn it off and stop watching...

I'm there...
I feel that way too, but isn't that the worst thing we could do. I mean, its like burrying your head in the sand and just hoping your mistakes will go away. That didn't work for me in 2008. Then again, what has worked lately? Even the Sentimate Survey is doing worse than I am and that is just plain pathetic. :(

J, my friend, videos, blogs and charts wouldn't have done you much good. Most folks were preaching that we were going down all the while we headed for the stratosphere. And charts weren't as helpful as you'd think. This wasn't a technical's rally either. :/

I'm in the F-Fund, were I in stocks I wouldn't be able to ignore these markets :)

Thanks for stopping by... ;)

How are things going, ignoring the markets and all?

Just finished up school, taking a month off, till then I'll float around and see if I can finish the year in the green, that 3rd quarter really put a beating on me...
