Jkenjohnson's Account Talk

That is because his system is in the Garage and out of IFTs for the month as Kaufmanrider pointed out on 5/12. He had a buy on May 1, (first IFT) and a sell on May 8 (2nd IFT). So even though his system is on a buy, it can't buy back in until June 1st. Who said limited IFTs were bad for our financial future? It is working out pretty good for anyone that is following Ken's system!

You are correct concerning Weatherweenie's question. Thanks for answering it for me - saves me time.

Me too. I felt like you do now back in April. There was a poster back around 1970, two vultures sitting, ok perched, on a dead tree branch overlooking the desert and a cow's skull, one says to the other, "Patience, my ass. I want to kill something!" Here, here.

That's funny.

System flipped back to a buy tonight and is 7.48% YTD.
I'm not sure how long I can let this go on - unless I'm missing something, or this isn't for TSP trades.

You are giving the signals too late to be legitimate. You gave a sell signal at 7:21 PM ET on Tuesday, and that would mean you are in the stock funds on Wednesday, and would be out for Thursday, so how you show a gain for Wednesday is a mystery.

If you can't post the TSP IFT signals by the deadline, please stop posting them. They are meaningless to those reading. If I am missing something, please let me know.

Unless I am mistaken there was a .01% gain in the G fund that day. My system signal is based on the closing price at the end of the day. No one has complained to me about the system, but I'll make it easy for you and quit posting.

I'm not sure I would say the signals are meaningless. We know the system gives a signal at the close of the day, for a move valid the next day.

I think there is concern that I posted a 1% gain in the G fund when it was actually .04% (I was off by .006%). My mistake, but I still feel like it is best to stop posting my signals. If anyone is interested, you can private message me and I will give you the signal for the day and the YTD of my system as it is a little different than what is shown on the Autotracker as I don't follow my system 100%. Sometimes my system will flip back in one or two days. I think it is frustrating for some, but the system has provided excellent returns in the past.

Don't you mean you were off (0.96)?
I think if you would simply follow standards of best practice common to use by the rest of us, you would be fine. However, it is probably best if it is inconvenient to follow our standars methods, that you share this information with those who have a keen interest by PM as you suggest. Claims of past performance usually fall victim to the curse of public examination.
