No problem it was earned. The dozen or so on here that are vocal and know what their doing are an welcome resource. I'm not ashamed to say I value the input of those members and they know who they are. The rest are junkies like me.

I think everybody is sensing some sort of a pullback, but everytime i think it is going to happen, the market jumps higher. I am seriously considering taking my profits for January and getting out until we get a pull back. Anybody agree? Disagree?

Pull backs could be minimal through the first qtr leaving little to no jump in point until half way through the year. That could be leaving alot on the table. On the other hand when you get to point that your returns are satisfactory I might take a shot.
10% would be a number I would consider. Not that I would be estatic or anything but if the big pull back never came I could live with it.
Currently +5.9%, better than -5.9%
Tough call, Those that are active tend to stay longer until the trend is no longer up.

I was kind of late to get into the game this month so I missed out on most of the early gains. It was one of those months where I kept telling myself the market just has to turn around and we would see a drop, unfortunately I was wrong. Decided a few days ago to get into the I fund since it seems to be lagging behind the rest of the funds, so I figured it might have some room to grow still and so far I was correct. Depending on what happens today I might start to pull out a bit and just be happy with few percentage points for January.

I would have replied sooner but I have been out. I usually post my signal after 7pm. I have to get some closing data from the S&P each day, the Vix, and then calculate some numbers to determine the signal. So you can get tomorrow's signal later tonight or first thing tomorrow morning.

Well, well, well, you can't mke money every day. So, I lost 0.5%.

System is up 18.7% since October.
System is up 7.1% YTD.

A while back I back tested my system to around 2001 -2010. I back tested 2011 and came up with around a 35% gain, had I been following the system the whole year.

System is up 18.2% since Oct (not 18.7%).
System is 7.1% YTD.
