... this tree trunk and it just floats upright in the lake ... by the time I am on my death bed "the old man" will still be floatin around...

floatin 'around' ain't so important, so long as after all that time your old man is still floatin 'upright'

Fascinating. Why has this resource been ignored for so long? Speaking of re: crater lake, re: what? Could not find the reference but I have never been good at finding old posts.

Is this in OR or some CA attraction? If it's in Oregon, much better for California.

No matter, a government approved company must be found immediately to harvest this wood. At that point or at the same time in the name of efficiency, stimulus money must be allocated for a new canal to suck all this water in to California. I thought of Sacramento, the Sacramento River Delta project, San Francisco and the Hetch Hetchy project, maybe the CVP but no. Where is California's most important area? Why of course, Los Angeles. No brainer. A new canal straight in to LADWPs coffers, oops I meant customers, for making sure the true heart of California can exist for a few more decades. Will the locals miss the water? Who cares? I don't hear many complaints from Owens Valley or Mono Lake area these days.

This is a true opportunity for some to make money and LA to get more water. No brainer and a great investment opportunity.

Still holding...................other than that, just have to wait till I get another signal..............

I am getting a buy equities signal................

However, I don't think this buy signal will produce much of a return, maybe 2% or so in the S fund, and since I only have one IFT left and the F fund has been dropping pretty substantially, I"m going to stay in the F fund and hope that it doesn't drop too much farther, if at all. My hope is that equities take a a big hit after a bit more of a run up next week so I can buy back in at the end of the month. High risk move, but hey, that's why my nic is "Intrepid_Trader"........................;)

I'll be selling my Faz and buying Fas later today also. I still think equities will end the day down. Just need to get the prez off the damn TV...............

For what it's worth - "Monday of Triple Witching week, Russell 2000 Down 8 of the last 11".

I never trade off any one piece of data, but this week as some bad history and we are overbought.

Triple Witching Week 2001 - the Dow lost 1370 points (14.3%)

Good trading next week.

MLK - - how do you guys handle the wet golf course grounds down there?
Did you guys suffer with the hurricane left-overs, too?

NW ARK had oodles of rain earlier this week, as did most everyone in Herm.'s reach. But the P&G Ladies' golf tournament here at Pinnacle had to cancel only the Pro-practice stuff on Thursday - it was interesting to see the pictures of the caretakers sweeping `lakes' off the greens and then using the leaf blowers to blow dry for the putting...
Tomorrow is the last day, and it seems everyone is having a Great Time. It certainly is bringing us some needed revenue. I am sorry to say, I haven't been able to get to the course to watch.

Hi Pat,

We got some rain from it. Our course actually drains pretty well. One of the greens we do have to squiggie off once one in awhile. We also have a large Buffalo Blower to blow off fairways when we need to. We also use it when we airate greens and tees. Our problem has been lack of rain and our irrigation pond getting quite low...............
