Intrepid_Timer's PUBLIC Account Talk

I, too, have a Tundra that I bought, new, in 2004....before they made them humongous !!! :D

GREAT truck ! Access cab, 4WD, 4.7 (?) V-8 (biggest they offered at the time !)...Stuck in a Bed Rug, and got a color-matched A.R.E. cap on the back, and the Dogs and I have been happy ever since...

Have the same truck. Love it. I beat the crap out of her every week, and she still runs great with 190k. Done a few mods though...

AWESOME !!!

Yes...yes you did !!! I never did any off-roading...mine was a daily driver in the Maryland winters and summers...

Is that a Joshua Tree ??? Brings back memories of my time in the high Mojave desert, at Edwards AFB !!! :D I had a used Ford F-100 at the time, but horses, and a horse trailer, too...scary memories of riding down the I-5 pass to Griffith Park in L.A., and hauling the horses up to ride in Tehachipi... OH MY !!!

Nice truck Nick! Here's my 4Runner soon after I put the engine it and cleaned it up. Just imagine lots more surface rust on the rims from salt. My buds can sit in the back and shoot zombies pretty easily. :) It's only a 4-cylinder, but I hear those little 22R-E's will run for ever if you take care of them.

LOL !!!

I think the new Tacomas are about as big as my old Tundra, but I haven't looked at them ...

Mine only has 123K miles on it...just getting broken in...nothing wrong mechanically, but the interior and exterior is starting to show its age...broke the heater valve cable just the other day, and I noticed minor paint peeling on top of the exterior door handles...and my headlights are getting cloudy again...polished 'em up once, but I think I need to pop for a new set...I can't complain !!!

The Wife's "mid-life crisis" car was a red 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse...talked her out of a convertible BMW ! That car was a good-looker, and a BLAST to drive with the V-6, but NOT a durable "ride"...got her in a 2011 Toyota RAV4 now, and she's happy as a clam !!! :D

Lord knows when my mid-life crisis will hit, or WHAT I'll want as MY mid-life crisis car !!! I'm kinda digging Dreamboat Annie's new ride !

I forgot...I DID replace the head unit in it last year ! Seems both the cassette player AND the CD changer died !!! (showing my age !)

Replaced it with a new JVC KW-R910BT from Crutchfield's...LOVE those Guys !!! Not the cheapest, but they give you all you need to know, to do it yourself !!! PERFECT fit, and now I have bluetooth, and a USB phone charger/drive port in my ride !!!

May keep this truck forever !!!

Hey I have a 2004 4Runner V6 with 57,000 miles on it, hasn't burped for 15 years tires and batteries is all I've done to it. Now I have a recall for a cracked dash that needs to be fixed.

At least Toyota did a recall, GM has so far refused to do so....................

Crutchfield is a top notch company. Your install reminds me of one I did many, many years ago. Wouldn't have had a clue how to do it. The printed instructions complete with pictures!, helped me do it with zero problems.

the only problem i see with those pictures is that is 207 degrees wherever you is so no wonder you got the a/c cranked. but shortyville? c'mon man, that is hot no matter where one comes from.

Yep, that's a big Joshua Tree along the Mohave Trail - an old stagecoach trail that runs 160 miles from the Colorado River outside Laughlin, NV to Barstow, CA. I've run the trail a few times now, a pretty trail with lots of history behind it, and a lot of neat things to see.

She used to be a daily driver but tires and gas got too expensive, so I drive an '09 Lancer Ralliart now. That car is more fun on the street anyway.

Nice! I used to have an 88 Toyota PU with the 22R (carbureted). They DO last forever. Keep clean oil in her and you'll get 300k miles out of her, minimum. Very capable off road too, if you regear high enough the 4 banger will crawl through anything. Not sure about zombies, but you could use it for a deer blind!

Here's another from the Mohave Trail:

And a couple from Utah last Sept/Oct:

Southern Utah is amazing.... Looking forward to making another trip back there in the future.

Now yall are speakin my language. I have a 92 Toyota pickup that has nothing stock on it anymore. Extra cab on a regular cab frame, dual transfer cases, 5.29 gears, locked front and rear, rollin on 35s. My 22RE has 235xxx miles on it. Since my office is only 5 miles from my house, it gets DD duty fairly often.

How did the Jeep get in there? You guys are making me remember times past. Had a 77 F-150 short cab short bed back around 1980. Got it buried up to the mirrors in the San Pedro River at Charleston AZ one time. A guy pulled me out for a case of beer. 20 years later got a Dakota crew cab 4x4 and did some mild "unimproved roading" for a while until SO couldn't stand the bumps and dog only wanted to get out and try to drown in irrigation ditches. Since then it has been a DD but handy for trips to the rim in winter.

Let's try this one more time. I'm just going to this here for future reference. These are documented returns, not back tested.

These are some of my ETF returns outside of TSP. I typically recommend subscribers use UPRO for buy signals and TLT for sell signals as it is a more conservative approach and one is never actually short anything. A more aggressive approach is to use ERX for buy signals and ERY for sell signals.

UPRO and TLT returns:

2015: 53.02%
2014: 38.36%
2013: 68.02%
2012: 117.64%

ERX and ERY returns:

2015: 122.28%
2014: 20.69%
2013: 114.70%
2012: 155.92%

I still expect better, but hey, no one's perfect................

Just holy cow on these returns. Are they serious? people are really getting this kind of return? That is one hell of a gain. Is there anyway to do this with 401K money? and why are we all not seeing this? Just too much risk?

They are serious. Like I said, it's all documented I have 100's of witnesses. As long as one has one followed my system's signals and bought at sold at, or near, the close for the day, they have had very similar returns with these mentioned ETFs. If one can trade 3X ETFs like the these, they can be traded with 401K money. If not, then they can simply transfer that into a self directed online broker, like Scottrade, TD Ameritrade, or whatever. As long as they are eligible that is. I've always recommended one start a Roth IRA too if they don't have one.

I don't understand the "why are we all not seeing this" question. Do you mean with TSP? That is pretty obvious really with the IFT limits and all. If you are talking about why no one is mentioning it, well, we don't brag like some do. Would you? Plus we are struggling so far this year, but the year isn't over yet. I only bring it up so others have something to compare their returns outside of TSP to. I also have a few openings as some are dropping out because my system has struggled this year. The IMF changed the game on me at the end of Nov, so I had to make some adjustments. Still expecting some very solid gains once again at the end of the year...............
