Gumby's Account Talk

S&P 500 up 2.4 pts to 1067.88

10 yr bond 3.369% HUGE move up +.1140 and climbing fast

Something very, very, fishy is going on here. I wouldn't IFT into stocks today if I were on the sidelines. Why is there such a huge move up on the 10yr with the DOW and S&P500 up. Doesn't make sense unless someone big knows something is going to happen within a week....maybe even over the weekend and Holiday. Decided to go 100% to G.

Yes indeed, I'm glad I'll be sitting out the 3-day weekend with a 75G 25F allocation.

Is this the reason there is a selloff in the 10yr bond and stocks only up slightly or not at all?

U.S. mortgage backer may need bailout

Hey Gumby -- man my wife was really 'pissed' last night :(

I got home late and noticed the baby gate blocking the kitchen doorway to keep her out...and feeling bad about arriving home so late .... went straight into the kitchen to join the woman I married, my daughter and a friend of her's who were already at the table eating supper....

So with my plate awaiting me....didn't really think anything about it until after I sat down....

...then my wife goes crazy....looks straight at me and starts barking... :embarrest::embarrest: and she wouldn't be quiet no matter what I said...

On her behalf .... she's always waiting on me right at the door when I get home and we 'always and without exception' have our cuddle quality time..

She pretty much demands it... and I never knew until last night that if I ignore her she will definately let me know she is not about to let me get by with it...

So had to get up and give her a little attention ;)

Anyway I thought of you because I gave her a bath last night and 'towel dried' her --- which I knew was one of you specialities...

Does the woman you married know that Stella is really your wife??

In my family it's very well known --especially by Ella

Steady,

I never really thought about Stella that way.....but she does demand attention. And like Ella, when I get home, Stella is by the door barking for me to let her out. She then turns circles and always seems to relieve herself on the driveway and sometimes my boots. Stella loves to play Frisby when I get home from work also. It is her nightly ritual. She hasn't mastered throwing it but she is getting good at catching it.:) I'll will have to post a pic of her in action.

Steady,

Wow !! That's strange... hummm

Well do you lay down on the floor next to her every night -- take off her collar -- and tell her the sweetest most wonderful things over and over in the most loving voice... as you're massaging her from her neck down to the end of her spine..

Really watching how she's stretching and getting into it... needing to put a paw over your arm ....to kind of hug ya .. and be close.

And of course throughout the evening -- get up here and there and rub her tummy...

GIVE IT SOME TIME -- Gumby --- the more you jive with her the greater the odds are 'no person' can come close ;)

Ohh well that's probably the difference -- Ella is cool and doesn't have to go.

But I'm amazed ... seriously amazed at how fast they can change directions --- spin circles and stuff :)

Stella loves to play Frisby when I get home from work also. It is her nightly ritual.

We've got 2 with holes in the middle --- makes it easier for them to get. I'll do that if I don't take her on a walk ... but she really loves our time together ... enjoying being my 'protector' when I say 'Who is that Ella' ....

and once in awhile I get to hide in the corn fields if she gets far enough ahead of me ... just kinda' chillin'.... that's the best part because as soon as she realizes I've disappeared she immediately on the trail...

I'm floored how much 'we must stink' because she has no problem picking up my scent and getting right there...

She hasn't mastered throwing it but she is getting good at catching it.:) I'll will have to post a pic of her in action.

Yeah -- I don't know

Woman are 'really good' at picking up on things... after Frixxxx put his 'pic' up --- Ella got a little suspecious ...

Have a good weekend man

S&P500 is up like a rocket and the ten year bond price is also up like a rocket. Which market is wrong and how soon before we find out?
Are the big players selling their stocks to the unsuspecting and then buying government bonds? Too bad we can't borrow money (billions) at the FED rate of 0% and then buy treasuries that pay 3.5%. Got to be some money to made in that racket.

Those are some mighty good questions. I trust bonds more than stocks. This is not the type of setup I want to jump into...

Looks like it is time for the PPT to kick into action today.:)
The gov wouldn't want GS to have a negative trading day. After all, they have only had 3 negative days in the last 6 months which by the way should be statistically impossible to do. No wonder Blankfein feels bad:D

WOW !! Was just stopping by to say hi :)

She has 'beautiful teeth' -- I mean they are georgous and obviously you can tell there is a huge amount of power to both her bite and her tugging ability.

This likely reflects outstanding bone growth and excellent health

Based on the shape of her head -- there's no doubt she is one of the smartest dogs ever bred. She has 'poodle' and 'lab' characteristics.

As for her general build and tail -- it's obviously she is as fast as lightening and is able to change directions better then essentially any other species known.

On careful analysis -- her desposition is amazingly 'loving' -- I mean only GOD could beat that kind of LOVE. Also she appears to have incredible loyality. She's playful and gentle and she likes exercise. With her intelligence (which is equivalent to human IQ of 127) she likes to be challenged.

My baby looks similar -- especially since I gave her a haircut recently. She's black with mostly lab features so her chest is a little bigger -- same tail -- head is very similar -- and same thin little waist.

THANK YOU !!!!

With the pictures available I can only tell you what I have with absolute certainty -- but then I know dogs pretty well

That is a good looking dog! Is it some kind of water dog?

Show-me
Stella is a Labradoodle (3/4 standard poodle and 1/4 lab). Her daddy is a white poodle and her mother is a black Labradoodle(1/2 lab 1/2 standard poodle). She dosn't shed so I have to give her a haircut every couple of weeks. Stella does like water. She will jump into a lake but won't jump into a swimming pool. I guess she can see the bottom of the pool.
Just took her to the vet last week for her shots and she weighs in at 67 lbs. She is a pretty smart dog also. Steady has her figured out.

JTH & Show-me,

Thanks guys. I finally had a great month and it was lucky. I switched to the F fund and avoided losses on earlier gains in the month. Now if only I could turn it into a great year. The last two years have been the most difficult to have any return except a negative one for me.
Good luck.:)

Well Gumby it must feel pretty good to watch the rest of us franticly running here and there trying desperately to stop this loss and grab this gain....

...while you effortlessly sail to the very top :D

So with only 1 month left -- where should I be?

I think it's pretty cool :cool: the way you and WINDHUNTER kind of held back until the end.

Anyway -- Great Job !! ;)
