Account creation also notes that you need to use your PayPal e-mail for the account name. If you didn't do this that could cause a problem in access.

I used credit card feature to buy annual subscription to EbbChart. No confirmation so I resubmitted. After checking bank account, I have TWO $162 charges pending, yet it still says, "It appears you have no premium subscriptions" Very frustrating, seems they should have done a bit more testing.

I had same experience and have no idea if I am registered or not. I am not going to give the information again though. Very frustrating is the least of it as I don't know if I am really registered or if the pay information is secure.

They should have some number to call or something else. If I spend a couple hundred bucks, I want some security and be assured I got what I paid for.

I didn't have any problems signing up. I have a Paypal account so make sure you use you paypal email if you have an account. Also, click the return to Merchant button at the bottom of the page after you have submitted your payment and that will complete the account process. It should take you back to the tsptalk site and you should be able to click and view the services that you paid for.

Now just a general question: If we signed up today but Tom isn't able to fix everything for another couple days and the eb chart is still free for those days, when will our membership be effective as of? When we signed up or when everything is up and running smoothly?

Hi all -

I apologize for the problems. More testing would have been nice. It looked like everything was working just fine when I was testing it, but of course when I test, I know what to expect. Many had problems, although most did not. I'm not sure where the disconnect was. I would love to do some sort test where I could watch people try to subscribe so I can see where they are having the problem. It seemed straight forward to me but with so many mishaps, I have to look to the source (me) for the problem.

I went through ALL of the credit card payments and if I saw you made several attempts, I voided all payments but 1.

Here's what to do if you paid but don't have access:
Send an email to me (use the support@ address).

- I need to know the login name you used (usually an email address but not always)
- Tell me which service you tried to sign up for and if for 6 or 12 months
- Tell me if you used PayPal, Visa, MC, amex, etc.
- If you used a credit card, give me the last name on that card (don't send your cc number to me)

Thanks. It may take a day or but we'll get it straightened out.

Ebb question - just wondering why you've made the contrarian moves lately? It looks like you've missed the boat the last couple of times and if you had followed your own system you'd have made out pretty good. Thanks

I used paypal to purchase items from Canada on ebay. When I checked my statement, the exchange rate was included in the purchase price.

Good contrarian call for today. Just kidding. Oh well can't win them all:(

$15 and change? Gonna have to think about that. Most people usually don't try to start charging until they have at least a 5 to 10 year track record of beating the market. Anyone can beat the market for one year just throwing darts no offense. But hey if you can get people to ante up more power to you. Good Luck. :)

Ebb: I am confused as to why you advocate moving to the S funf for Tues but show 3 stop signs. Can you explain your logic?

Thanks - Dell

Ebb and others,

Ebb, your system is doing great. Nobody can argue with a 27% return so far this year. My question has to do with prior years returns. From going back and reading prior posts I believe someone mentioned a backtesting of 2005 which produced a return around 30%. Was this really the case? Have you backtested other years and what were the results?

I know you have been working on the system and refining it as a work in progress, but how would the present system have done in other years? I realize that past performance doesn't guarantee anything, but what else do I have to go on?

I'm glad you are going to get some $$$ for your hard work and wish you you the best of luck.

thanks,

Ozwald

That's true. It's easy to come up with a system that worked for a year or two. How about buying at Friday's close and selling at Monday's close. You would have made out like a bandit in 2007 but not so good in 2006. Only time will tell if a system actually works or is simply reading tea leaves. On the other hand if you waited 5 or 10 years for investing in Warren Buffet or Peter Lynch you would have missed their biggest years.

As for me I'll probably sign up once the kinks are worked out.;)

I'm sorry, but this make absolutely no sense; even as a contrarian play. Not the way it's posted. This seems to be hedging your bet and it can not be both ways. Perhaps wording to the effect " I do not believe the S fund will do well on Tuesday, so I am "marking" it with three stop signs. Still, as a contrarian play and in spite of my belief, I am investing in the S fund.

Respectful but puzzled, I remain humbly

I agree. I could not wrap my brain around that move. Went to G instead.
