Ebb, just wanted to thank you once again for the help and advice over the past year. I (like many others) signed up for your Ebb system and hope you do well with it! I will miss the running comments in the different threads though...:)

I've seen plenty of systems and funds which are hot one year but not the next. I'm loving the 27% return this year, but I need more info. Anyone know what the ebb system has done in prior years? My major concern is missing out on a run in the market.

Ozwald,

I agree and on paper I can develop hundreds of systems that will perform well for one or several years, but fail miserably other years. On another note, I thought that this forum was supposed to be about freedom and sharing. Lately, it has turned into a profit scheme, and I'm sure certain people are taking a cut. This was once a good place to speak openly about techniques to beat the market. Now it is how much are you going to pay me to see the results of my black box. For shame!

Ebb, I had only gained 4.5% the beginning of 8/07 and then began following the advice of your system. My initial goal for the year was accomplished by the end of 9/07! THANK YOU!!! I enrolled for a year and am grateful you are sharing such a GREAT system.

I've done 32% last year and did some backtesting in 2005 using the ebbtracker tracking only the I-fund (that's another +30%). This year, I developed the ebbchart which added the tracking of the C and the S-fund along with the I-fund. All three funds are tracked individually and all three signals are cross-checked against each other. Two or more reds, we go to safe haven, and two or more greens, we go to stocks -- unless otherwise noted, of course.

This year the new system has beaten the old system (ebbtracker's I-fund) in eight out of nine months. That may be because I don't adjust the ebbtracker's I-fund signals, but I do adjust the new system's signals according to percentages, gains/losses, and some other things I've talked about before. That's a heck of an improvement if I may say so myself. :)

BigDave125, I'm sure Tom would be fixing that as soon as he finds out about it.

Yeah, I noticed that too, Bigdave125.

Most likely, BigDave and you're welcome!

Thanks for the reply, Ebb! Looking forward to following your system in the future (just subscribed for the year)!

Looks like we made another 1/2 % today! Grin!

Thanks,

Dave

This has always been about profit... just nice that there was freedom and sharing... and, there still is. Stay positive, and make the money! :)

Could someone please steer me to the subscriber page link for this..I just learned that the EBBchart system will be available to subscribers only soon..I want in if possible..Thanks

Dennis:

You can reach the subscription page by clicking on the Ebb chart page at: http://www.tsptalk.com/ebbchart.html

There, you will find a link to go sign up. - the actual sign up place is through the members page. But you can find a link to there from the ebb chart page.

thanks

Ebb, THANK YOU, btw....I followed your chart in the beginning of the year with mixed reviews....I didn't have any expectations. I've fought you long enough and my 6% for the year wasn't making it. I switched mid-month to your system and just to let you know. My first day on your system, paid for my subscription. YOU ARE DA MAN!

It will return to that. 95% of the readers here won't subscribe and new members won't miss what they never had. Life goes on. When the thrift retirement board restricts trading, we'll all have a lot more time on our hands.

I asked a while ago about a thread for discussion for Ebbnflow in the members area. I think the response was that there would be one because members are supppose to be restricted to not talking about it on the regular msg board by warnings and bans if they do.

Maybe I should re-ask Tom or Ebb?

I subscribed this morning to the ebbtracker using my credit card...but get this message when I log in :

How long does it take to become effective?

A simple volatility indicator gets very good returns as well in recent years. It has done awful before that though. The one big problem with most pay services is that they use thier best years returns as a tool to recruit paying customers, but then those customers are screwed when the previously predictable market behavior changes.

This is true. Backtesting my monkeys has them in stocks since 2003, only switching between C,S,and I. Even with the dips and corrections here are the returns one would have gotten just going between those three funds, using the rules the monkey follows - never going to G or F.

2004: 28.242%
2005: 15.158%
2006: 38.280%

I can only imagine how big the returns would have been if I used ebb's ability to keep one out of stocks on those big dips! I think next year, I'll at least pull a little out during what looks like major resistance so that I can buy all in on the dips.
