coolhand's Account Talk

I am so glad I left California several years ago. Over the years I received numerous briefs on gang activity by law enforcement and I remember them saying there were something like 115 known gangs in the San Diego area, 5 of which were considered hard core.

In the Linda Vista area where I lived, we weren't too far from a Vietnamese community and the police responded many times to gun fire in that area. They had their own gang problem.

American's finest city...looks good on TV, but until you live there...

Home grown terrorist, don't shoot; that's taking the law into your own hands and we can't have vigilante's toting guns and shooting terrorist. Why does the law carry a gun? It's to protect them not you from the criminal. So why is it called the criminal justice system? Just as it implies justice for the criminal, it's not called the innocent justice system. We have hard working lawmen trying to do the job they were sworn to do and judges deciding what the punishment will be contrary to the law. In a civilized society like ours with progressive minds we have to house and feed the criminals and be sympathetic to the fact they were abused and came from a dysfunctional family while begging them not to rape or kill your spouse and kids pretty please, you know just how we fight our wars. We are the cause of all problems in the world foreign and domestic.:notrust:

" The Right to keep & bear arms has never been more Required/need. "

Maybe, but in most places we can't brandish, and we can't use deadly force to protect property, and it's questionable how bad the personal threat has to be in order to draw the firearm given the duty to retreat. The bad guys seem to have too many cards in our system.

I have to laugh. The major news networks are saying that the housing market appears to be at a bottom, largely based on recent data showing existing home sales rising.

They are saying this while the bond market appears to be in a possible crisis. If you haven't noticed, mortgage rates have turned higher in short order.

That'll kill the sales momentum if it continues, and I suspect it will.

Coolhand

I may be confused, but I believe your SS is showing a buy. In addition, all my charts are getting more Bullish than I want them to be. Can you confirm?

Any buy signal right now is not to be trusted. The internals have been declining and are showing significant negative divergences. I have confirmed this with Don, the guy who developed the SS and has been using this signal for some time.

Thanks Coolhand. Ya know they say there's no such thing as a stupid question, but I've been known to challenge that assumption. :p Do you have any idea what he means by "the internals are declining?" I'm not sure if this is a reference to volume or momentum or?

Sorry for the bother :(

I'll try to get some details here. No bother. ;)

Coolhand,

Please excuse my mental dispersion. I did not previously keep good records regarding the signals considered by the Seven Sentinels system. Now I would like to keep clustered together, for future reference, all of the pertinent educational links that you have previously posted (or at least, the more important ones). The other day you posted the above-copied link. I saved have it to my Favorites as reference. Any others? Thank you!

Regardless of one's position on where bonds are heading, and more specifically the 10 year note, the market is still quite fragile, and this particular issue could have major consequences depending on where bonds go from here...

The Federal Gov/fed reserve has Manupulated the money supply, Stock Market, Gold, credit, banks, car companys, congress, the courts and Us the people....BUT how do you Manupulate the Bond Market??? when by Making Trillions and Trillions of unsecure DEBT your Crashing It!!!!!

Thoughs on this anyone????

Bullit,
I don't want to mislead you. No, I am not saying he has other indicators. I am simply confused  as to whether or not I have properly saved the instructions and the link that tracks the daily performance of the Seven Sentinels. I hope this clarifies any misunderstanding.

So he has other indicators besides the SS?

I have not heard from Don yet, but I can tell you that looking at NAMO and NYMO, those oscillators have been collapsing as SPX price has advanced. I'm sure that's one area of concern.

I've also noted volume has been decidedly light of late. That concerns me too.

That's the main one. I'll have to do a search and see if there's anything else of interest. Need a little time for that.

Might have something to do with precipitous drop in $usd yesterday? other than that, noticed big drop in USD back on the 8th as well, don't know if we saw a spike in G there or not, something to look at. Bond market is in process of dislocation, so there's a lot of complex interplay between interest rates on different maturities right now playing with currency markets. Frixx could add some insight I'm sure.
