I had been defending Tech to others who have complained about him and when this "bet" was made I remember saying that no one should have to leave. But I have received several PM's from these people over the past several months who say they will either stop or limit their posting as long as he around. I don't let him get to me but then again I don't read his posts too often. The feeling among the ones complaining is that he is misleading new people - The ones who haven't figured out that he is here merely for his own ego (whether he admits it or realizes it or not).

Even though I like the idea, I'm not sure we will be able to enforce the rules TICKed brought up. The ego is a tough monster to tame and as long we have a "competition" going on, some will never win their battle with it. But I can't kick people off the site for having a big ego. I will ask them, however, to please leave on their own if they can't seem to get along with any of the other members.

Tech did not bother me a bit. Any advice given on this board can be ignored. No-one is twisting your arm to trade exactly like they trade. If people are vague usually its a hunch or gut feeling. I'm disapointed at the outcome of this situation. To bannish somebody for being who they are STINKS and I'm not talking about you backside nether regions Birchtree. WoW I think I had a vision.

I feel I should respond because I feel, in part responsible for his departure. I respect everyone's “opinion” as long as you do not try to pass it off as the “Holy Grail” of events and knowledge without a history to back it up.

First he was not banished. Second Tech did not bother me that much either, even though he has been banned many times, his concerns about the economy was similar to mine. What bothered me were all of the new people that have not watched this drama from the beginning, and the lack of fact in his statement. MarketTimer was the start and there was banning and people with multiple user names. This was horrible for the MB.


The advice can be ignored but the longer you allow one to continue to mislead give some sort of validity to that person. If a new person with no clue how to invest reads that thread and sees how long they have been allowed to go on may believe that is a sign that it is a legitimate thread.


And finally, he will be back. Mark this post and you will see. This gave him an “out” for the little wager between him and M_M. After a time goes by, he will come back because he can not stand by and let (fill in blank with any person who opposed him) them mislead the masses. He forces himself to come back to save everyone from themselves. After all he was not “banned” but left on his on accord. Mark this post, he will be lurking and he will be back and that “event” is a guarantee.
