Stab you in the back. LOL!!! Woe is me! Poor Tech, after your exchanges with Milk I would think you would have thicker skin.

Yes I do have an opinion but unlike you I do not try imply the market is going to crash or rocket up unlike this little post. Very misleading to any new folks that have not been following your little drama the last two years. Fact is I am right up front asking specific questions and you are not liking it.

Fact is the trend is still up. I'm still bullish. I feel S and I have room to grow at a faster pace. Doesn't mean it will happen, but at least my analysis is not based on a "super secret event" in the making. Here are my indicators again. What are yours?

Anyone can say a event is coming and then when a meteor hits the moon say, See I told you a event was coming. Give us details and let everyone make a rational decision based on your concerns.

Tech,

Maybe this board is not for you. Think about that one.

So everyone is to bow down and acknowledge your claimed greatness. No one is to learn anything from you, just follow you blindly with out asking why, how, or where they are going. You offer no way for anyone to learn from you. You are a blowhard!

Let me be more clear.

What events?

Give up what proprietary details? Let me add........proprietary details.......bulls..t!

All imaginations in your mind. Misleading people with no fact to corroborate you claims to fame. Quit trying to be some International Man Of Mystery!:D

Your house of cards(tarot) is crumbling right before our very eyes Tech........again. Stick to the Ouija board. Wind can't knock it over.

I try not to get involved in these disputes but I have to agree with Jeff. I know Tech thinks he is helping others here but he doesn't realize just how much he is annoying the others. He called me "unethical" so he must be delusional. :D

I know a lot of people who just don't realizehow they come across to others and Tech is one of them. I'm sure he is a nice person at heart, but it is apparent that he has trouble getting along with others here.

I'm sorry, but I think most of us can manage without his input. Tech, I have appreciated what you are trying to do here, but I want you to seriously consider whether this type of forum is really for you.

Tech told me to leave about a month after I first arrived and I told him in capital letters to KMA. That solved that problem. Just let him meander and maybe some day it will be beneficial. I enjoy the critique on accasion.

I really think he should stay as well. If we get bent out of shape over his musings, isn't that really our own problem and not his. But I can't let remarks made go unchallenged especially when there are devices put in place to prove your points.

Re: Nothing but time.

The problem, as I see it, is not freedom of speech, but the fact that it is a distractive nuissance and a waste of energy to other members to have to challenge his views at every corner. If he changes his behavior, I think it's ok. However, Tom recently mentioned new subscribers that had come on board after they learned of TSPtalk.com. Younger, less knowledgeable, or more gullible readers can easily be misled to make bad investment decisions by this type of persuasion. --

Maybe some rules are required?

- No talk about performance of untracked accounts or periods is allowed. We track each other to PREVENT unproven claims.
- One should never compete against other members, or aggressivly compare returns.
- Predictions are fine, but should be backed with reasoning and data. We should all be aware that our opinions do not always reflect reality, and act accordingly.
- One should NEVER try to persuade or coherse others to change allocations based on personal opinion. Stating your allocation is fine. Asking questions about someone elses allocation is fine. But judgement of others allocations is forbidden.
- Your image and reputation are determined by others. Trumpeting your own success rate or abilities is frowned upon.

Of course, actually enforcing any of these (or anything similar) is near impossible. Still, it might be useful to state them as goals and guidelines for our discussions.

Yes, that would be just gobs of fun to enforce. I really think I would not make a good, bad talk policeman. Shades of 1984 Orwell, Big Brother IS Watching YOU!!!:o

LOL...Watch your attitude, Buster! Rule #167 states quite clearly, "You must always have a song in your heart while posting at TSPTalk". :D

Just figured if we had some "guiding principles" self regulation might steer the worst confrontations back into the realm of the useful.

(And Santa Claus is going to bring me a PONY!) ;)

I had been defending Tech to others who have complained about him and when this "bet" was made I remember saying that no one should have to leave (whoever won). But I have received several PM's from these people over the past several months who say they will either stop or limit their posting as long as he around. I don't let him get to me but then again I don't read his posts too often. The feeling among the ones complaining is that he is misleading new people - The ones who haven't figured out that he is here merely for his own ego (whether he admits it or realizes it or not).

Even though I like the idea, I'm not sure we will be able to enforce the rules TICKed brought up. The ego is a tough monster to tame and as long we have a "competition" going on, some will never win their battle with it. But I can't kick people off the site for having a big ego. I will ask them, however, to please leave on their own if they can't seem to get along with any of the other members.
