This Handballer joined TSPtalk 2 years or so ago. I enjoyed browsing for a while before that. Sometime back, I remember seeing a map that showed areas of the world where peole were tuning in to TSPtalk at the moment. Is it still available?
I have just added it back onto the home page. It's in one of the lower left side menus.

TSP Talk Visitor Map

Let's see if it has gotten any more stable. It will take a day to get fully populated.

I zoomed in on where I'm supposed to be and it's some other guy across the lake, oh well?:worried:

Who is that guy on the boat in the middle of the Pacific? :D
well, there are two boats; so if the one in the middle of the Pacific is Phill, Pyriel is in Guam, too, right - so there are two rowers- I can't see them at all!
Is the second boat the fellow from 4 years ago that owned his own island out there someplace ? MM? or something?
That is neat, & fun.... but tell me, what is KLM, and does it mess up computers if I download it? - in other words, will my kids say: "What Have YOu Done to Your Computer Now !!!" I feel sure it probably isn't related to that Korean airline.....;)

welll- I went to the View link at the bottom left front page, then when I clicked on the dark green button that looked like Arkansas, the screen had a balloon that said `google earth.' So I clicked it. That led me to a screen that said 'no file here - look on the web,' so I clicked the web. It brought up a list of KLM - or was it KML? I decided it was time to feed the cats.!
...and now there are more green pins out at Hawaii, Phillippines, Guam, somewhere !!
That is fascinating!:)
So what do you think??
grandma

Sorry grandma. I am lost. I'm not sure what front page you mean? Or where the dark green button is? Please post links.

I'm going to feed my cat now. :)

1) http://www.tsptalk.com/ : tsptalk visitor map (lower left screen)
2)http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/geovisitors/
3)click on green button (today's is in a different place & a lighter green
than when I first saw it.) =
4) balloon: View in Google Earth - click it
5) click FIND
6) Windows says doesn't have/can't find this file - so:
7)click SEARCH the Web which goes to:
8)http://www.bing.com/search?FORM=WINFLA&q=file+extension+kml

ALLL THIS simply because I wanted a closer look at that green pin !!!!
I don't mean to be as determined as my cats - nor a stereo-type of the
`old woman & her cats.' View attachment 7124:)

Thanks for taking the time to explain. I just don't see a green button. I feel dumb. :embarrest:

Re: ask tom: KML file

Hi Grandma

Hope Tom's last reply helped. I have been using Google Earth both at home and work for years with no bad effects except that you may end up with a very cluttered map if you have too many KML files loaded or active.

From Google Earth Help: KML, or Keyhole Markup Language, is an XML grammar and file format for modeling and storing geographic features such as points, lines, images, polygons, and models for display in Google Earth, Google Maps and other applications.

If you get too many icons on your map, go to the left side of the screen on the sidebar and uncheck some of the things under "Places" or "Layers". If you don't see anything but the map click on "View" in the tool bar and make sure Sidebar is checked.

Hope this also helps.
