Just curious what percentage of your retirement accounts do you day trade with?

I am new to the game and intend around 3% down the road, what about th erest of you?

Most of the trades are posted in the members accounts forums. You can see what moeny everyone on the boards is moving around on a daily basis.

I tend to trade 100%.

Technically, there is no day trading. Day traders don't hold positions in securities overnight. Swing traders hold positions a bit longer, days or weeks. Position traders hold for weeks, months and maybe a year or more. This all depends on trends that are evident in the economy, the marketplace, and ultimately the individual stocks.

The % is a individual choice of comparing risk vs reward and what an individual is comfortable with.

I'm a position trader as compared to a true buy and holder and I'm in deep to the tune of 100%. Currently at 90C and 10I.

Birch,
You are like the giant liners. Slowly, do you proceed lest you draw the smaller ships into collision. The Tutanic vs the New York, The Olympic vs the HMS Hawke .

What is a "true buy and holder"? I would hope folks would periodically monitor their positions and the fundamentals, that they get helpful advice and not be treated like mushrooms.

I learned a hard lesson with mutual funds and some of their managers (never again says the raven).
