Dead Horses.

The tribal wisdom of the Dakota Indians, passed on from generation to generation, says that, "When you discover that you are riding a dead horse, the best strategy is to dismount."

However, in modern government, business, and education a whole range of far more advanced strategies are often employed such as:
1. Buying a stronger whip.
2. Changing riders.
3. Threatening the horse with termination.
4. Appointing a committee to study the horse.
5. Arranging to visit other countries to see how others ride dead horses.
6. Lowering the standards so that dead horses can be included.
7. Reclassifying the dead horse as "living impaired."
8. Hiring outside contractors to ride the dead horse.
9. Harnessing several dead horses together to increase the speed.
10. Providing additional funding and/or training to increase the dead horse's performance.
11. Doing a productivity study to see if lighter riders would improve the dead horse's performance.
12. Declaring that as the dead horse does not have to be fed, it is less costly, carries lower overhead, and
therefore contributes substantially more to the bottom line of the economy than do some other horses.
13. Rewriting the expected performance requirements for all horses.
14. Promoting the dead horse to a supervisory position.

Just read the history books. You seem to be unable to differentiate between procreation and love. They are two different ideas, and existed (and still exist) today. The Spartans left very little, but all of the people at the time gave vivid descriptions of their lives.

Their existence was cloistered, men with men, women with women. The idea of procreation was separate for them. They were.....pardon the expression....."manly" men.

Climate change data dumped

In a statement on its website, the CRU said: “We do not hold the original raw data but only the value-added (quality controlled and homogenised) data.”

The CRU is the world’s leading centre for reconstructing past climate and temperatures. Climate change sceptics have long been keen to examine exactly how its data were compiled. That is now impossible.

Roger Pielke, professor of environmental studies at Colorado University, discovered data had been lost when he asked for original records. “The CRU is basically saying, ‘Trust us’. So much for settling questions and resolving debates with science,” he said.

I'm just pointing out something that's true. I seem to always get in trouble for that. Oh well. I didn't really know if you knew or not, and I thought it was interesting. The fact is....the Spartans were all homosexuals. I can't change historical facts. I regret you find it disturbing.

The part I don't understand is how this makes me sick.

Buster,

I do not dislike phil. I think he is only 'despised' by those he(phil) challenges. I have taken no offense with what he has posted. In my humble opinion, he has become the anti-Buster on this MB from my perpective. There will always be a Ying to balance the Yang, black to balance/challenge the white, hope to balance despair, etc... I find the contrasts enlightning.

Oh, by the way, I have seen a History Channel documentary that supports phil's spartan assertion. It was only duty to the state that caused spartan warriors to procreate according to the show. Spartan's also committed murder on unarmed field hands as a right of passage - also from the show. They were brave warriors though. A Ying for every Yang.:D

Well, I think I always do my research. Sometimes the research is disturbing. Thanks for eagle forum information, but I'll pass on that for now. No, I don't think the UN black helicopters are causing the problem right now. I'll get back to you on that.

It seems you should provide better sources. All one has to do is look at the comments here and realize this source is not the truth.

If you need sources, there are tons, starting even with Toynbee, I believe. The fact was that people's reaction to what the Spartans believed in has colored many people's view of their history. What is clear is that from the descriptions of their life, they spent an overwhelming amount of time away from their families, in the company of other men.

Despite a lot of destruction on the art wreaked by puritanical fervor, it remains that they were indeed. There was nothing wrong with it, it's just the way they viewed their world. Yes, there are some people who want to change the historical facts, but one needs only look at the art work and read the literature of the time. Yes, my link was to the discussion page from your source. The comments are worth reading and they dispute the information you present as fact. Whoever posted that information on Wikipedia obviously has a bias and a desire to rewrite history to justify a lifestyle.
